We stayed here twice during our travels and found the place to be nice, quite, great value, good location and beautiful! It is a converted house that has been renovated, it is over 3 levels with two great kitchens and lounge/ dining areas. We stayed in 3 different rooms, they are all nicely renovated, huge high ceilings, comfortable beds, great...

i had a great time at this B&B... Buenos aires at a calmer place, easy to access to all highlights of the city and an excellent service. As at home, beautiful patio to sit and see the stars and feel isolated of all noise.. Natalia is a so caring person, in charge of all there.. informative and helpful.. thank you....

My boyfriend and i stayed here for 5 days. Absolutely loved our room. It was clean and had a lovely balcony. What a great value for the cost. The owner Natalia was extremely helpful. She was able to help us from locating the correct buses to take, recommending restaurants and guiding us on things to do in BA. Also we...

This is my favourite hostel by far in Argentina, for a number of reasons. The area is quiet and so is the house. On every level (there are three), there are bathrooms, a kitchen, dining area and a functioning, fast computer. The owner makes sure that there are enough facilities for the guests and there was no sense that it...

Pros: Natalia (the main girl) was awesome. She helped us with everything and is very informative. Rooms are lovely with nice beds and high ceilings. Spacious also. Cooking facilities are excellent. The place is also extremely clean. Cons: The breakfast is weak. The roof terrace is not worth the effort of walking up the steep stairs to reach it as...

We stayed in this B&B for one night and it was a bit of a disappointing experience. The hostel is located in a beautiful building in a nice neighborhoud in Buenos Aires. The welcoming was a bit of a let down however. On arriving we were quickly shown the room and the bathroom. The room was nice and spacious, but...

We had a tough time finding a good hostel or hotel in Buenos Aires. There are many expensive options and many cheap but terrible options. B&B Tango and Bandoneon was the answer. This B&B is extremely clean and the staff were very helpful (thank you Nadia and Rosa). There is a very sunny roof top deck and a great lobby/sitting...

After staying in some rather ropey places in Argentina we stayed for 7 days in Tango & Bandoneon. What a great find/choice it was. I won't go over the same material as other reviewers who say it far better than I doen the page, but the rooms are warm, comfortable, short walk to the bits you want to be near,...

We had stayed our first night elsewhere and when we got to this hostel we were pleasantly shocked at how clean and homely it was... and it was half the price!! We had a lovely double room with a comfy bed and heating. Yes it was a bit noisy but most of the places we have stayed in have been...

Tango & Bandoneon was close to the centre only 10-15 minutes walk, the bedroom was quite large, very clean and there were plenty of shared bathrooms and there was always hot water. Breakfast was really filling with lots of types of bread and jam and tea, coffee and hot chocolate. There was a nice clean kitchen to cook if you...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.

“The second floor is a bit more crowded but very nice. The third floor feels more secluded and the roof top deck area is nice but it can get somewhat hot from the sun in the afternoon.”
