I really enjoyed this hostel. I stayed in an 8 bed female dorm room as a solo traveler and met amazing people. There is always something to do at night. The bar area is very social and the staff is friendly and helpful. Hostel was...More
We have now stayed twice at this hostel and it never gets boring! The staff are overly helpful and very friendly, Barbara (on reception), and Jordy and Jared behind the bar especially. The tours are great, especially the Boca tour, which is very cheap and...More
We stayed in the 6 bed female dorm at Milhouse. On our way to Uruguay all our belongings were stolen including our money passport and credit cards. We returned to Milhouse after this and I can not stress how helpful the staff were after this...More
Stayed here for one night in a private room. The room was more than we expected. Lovely artwork on the walls and steps up to the bathroom. It was, however, the staff that made our trip. They were exceptionally helpful, especially when our transfers had...More

As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos
Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.

Yes as above, there are cages that you can put your backpack and all your bits in. As long as you have a padlock, then this will be ok. I've stayed there a couple of times and never heard of any problems. Hope this helps.
