This hotel was a great find. Small but with the services of a larger hotel. The room we were given was an upgrade to a fantastic suite with a steam shower as well as the fabulous wooden bath. A pointer, the bath would not be appropriate for plus-size travellers as it is quite narrow. The bed was one of the...

I went to Buenos Aires and stayed at the Mio hotel for a week. It is in a great location, in the center of Recoleta (just a few steps from the cemetery). Our room had a gorgeous wooden bathtub and a lovely shower. From our balcony we had a direct view over the cemetery. The restaurant offers complimentary breakfast with...

Very nice!room was very spacious and neat. No noise from the street. Nice area and plenty of restaurants. Safe area to walk around, even at night! I did't use the spa. Breakfast was good and the attendants very professional

Very much enjoyed this hotel. Wonderful, walkable location. The staff at this hotel was extra friendly and the large rooms were comfortable and HUGE. From the statement bathtubs to the separate sitting area, this hotel room made my stay enjoyable.

Pros: the hotel stay in a nice neighborhood and it is well decorated Cons: their debt/credit card machine did not accept my debt card (which I used all over the city) so I had to withdrawl all the money which made exceed the diary limit in my both cards. On balcony there were a lot of spiderwebs Their sound system...

A couple of nights is really enough only to feel the tip of the iceberg - great city. Friendly people, interesting architecture, the expression The Paris of South America , applies well to the Recoleta district. Gourmet breakfast available and good SPA.

We spent our last night before heading back home at the Mío Buenos Aires. In our earlier portion of the trip we had stayed at the Park Hyatt but decided to try a slightly more affordable hotel for our last night - and it was definitely a great call! The Mio hotel is located in the Recoleta neighborhood which is...

I loved the hotel, the design and the rooms. Good service, comfortable bed, silent air-conditioning, lovely breakfast and location. Negative points: the room I got was very dark, with little natural light. The air-con temperature is automatically set by the maintenance guys and little you can do to try to change the temperature. All the extras, like the beverages in...

First of all, the staff was tremendously helpful - from the check-in process through check out (holding my bags after checking out and allowing me to freshen up at the spa before catching my flight later that afternoon). Throughout my stay, they made good suggestions for food and drinks and helped with setting up transportation. The room itself was spacious...

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
