I stayed for one night as a solo traveller. The beds were extremely comfortable and each bed had it's own reading light and socket. There were no communal areas, the bathrooms were small and dark. More of a hotel than a hostel. Also odd that the owner doesn't like people staying in bed all day! Very controlling.. Never had the... More

I spend 4 nights in this hostel. There is no livingroom, but a dining room where you can spend your time with Friends. The rooms are big enough and everybody has a big cupboard, enough place for a big bag and more. The clima is good. The bathrooms are small, but good and clean. Breakfast was ok, typical argentinien. Nice... More

If you've stayed in hostels, you know the deal: strange bedfellows who don't always have the same standards as you do. But what makes a great hostel great is the helpfulness of the staff, and in this regard Galeon excels. Always friendly, always smiling, and spoke enough English to be amazingly helpful to this hapless Gringo. And I heard they... More

We went back at this hotel because the first time we loved this place. We booked a room for 4 nights. We wrote 2 emails advising that we are going to arrive late, very late. No response. As we arrived, no room at 4 in the morning. The hotel noticed our booking and we were registered but they didn't affected... More

My husband & kids stayed here during our stay in Buenos Aires. The hostel is safe and in a pleasant part of the city. It is clean and the employees are very kind and professional. The common bathrooms were always extremely clean and neat. The rooms were also well kept with ample space. There are many good pubs and restaurants... More

Nice hostel to stay in buenos aires. Rooms are ok with a comfortable bed. The hostel is very clean including toilets and shower. You can use the kitchen if you want. The staff is kind and will answer your question. Breakfast is included and nice with a homemade cake. The hostel is situated in the heart of San telmo, that... More

Stayed here for only one night with my boyfriend before catching a flight to Patagonia and felt like we were staying in a hotel! Rooms and bathrooms were exceptionally clean and spacious. Our bedroom also had a nice balcony to sit on. Breakfast was delicious with a homemade tart included in the options and the staff were extremely helpful and... More

This is by far the cleanest hostel I have come across in my travels. The older gentlemen who owns it is meticulous and ensures that the hostel is always clean and tidy (a huge plus in hostels). The owner does not speak any English, but we were able to communicate through broken Spanish or Google translator. All staff members are... More

I stayed here for a week. It is a great value place, very comfortable and fabulous location - in San Telmo and next to one of the main underground stops (Independencia). The breakfast is nice, they bake cakes every morning! MOST OF ALL the staff are really lovely, I actually felt sad to go! Right from the housekeeping staff, to... More

I felt so lucky to have found this place. My six night stay there was fantastic. It’s tough to find a nice, mid-range price hotel in San Telmo. I wound up at the Galeon after having two horrible nights at the Ayre Portenos, which was a flop house for teens. I immediately liked the Galeon. The staff were incredibly nice... More
