I must echo the rave reviews of Chavi's B&B in Palermo. Above all, the hospitality of Chavi and Roxi, who made us feel as though we were in our own house. Thanks Roxi for pointing us in the right direction for leather goods! I had very pleasant informative breakfast conversations with Chavi about medicinal plants and the ecology of the... More

After reading the great reviews of this property, my girlfriend and I decided to book a night. Chavi was very accommodating via email for our late check in. Once we arrived the tone changed. Chavi was very excited to show us the house but his wife, who must not have thought we spoke spanish, kept telling him to hurry up... More

To put this place in conext: during a two week trip to Argentina, we had stayed in a series of places including a 'slick' commercial hotel in Buenos Aires and a lovely friendly B&B in Mendoza - both super and it would take something really really special to top these. On return to Buenos Aires, we stayed at Chavi's for... More

The owners Chavi and Roxi are super nice and really make you feel at home. The location is excellent and the rooms and facilities are great as well. The house itself is really cool too. All in all an amazing place to stay!

My mum and I had a brilliant stay at Chavi's. From the moment we arrived we were greeted very warmly, given a tour of the stunning house (huge inside with beautiful architecture!) and provided with plenty of information and personal recommendations for eating, shopping and tours. Every morning breakfast was a friendly chat over breakfast with the other guests and... More

I thoroughly recommend Chavi's House for a homely B&B in the brilliant Palermo Soho. The hosts Chavi and Roxi are a wonderful young couple that make you feel right at home, perfectly balancing respect for your privacy and providing great company. The house, gardens and rooms are beautiful, and Chavi and Roxi's recommendations for a genuine Buenos Aires experience were... More

Checking in was smooth along with a short history of the buidling which Sergio 'Chavi' and his family converted from a sausage factory. Strategic placing of colour, mirrors and plants make this a Feng Shui enthusiast's dream. The house was clean and comfortable. Our air conditioned room was comfortably decorated and the shared bathroom was spacious with bidet, shower, sink... More

We tend to avoid anonymous and luxurious hotels as we prefer authentic and charming places. Chavi's house was spot-on! The room was nice and clean, the bathroom small but fine. Breakfast was basic as is normal for Argentines, but Chavi's stories and suggestions made it a great way to start the day. The location is excellent and Chavi will point... More

My friend and I just returned from staying a week at Chavi's (Feb 19 to Feb 26) and could not have been happier with our choice of place to stay. Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.

“If you don't mind sharing a bath with occupants of 1 other room, the best value are the 2 double rooms on the 2nd floor. If you are on a budget, but want a private bath and outdoor access via rather steep spiral stairs is not an issue choose the 3rd floor room. For a splurge, choose the queen 'suite' on the 2nd floor with large private bath.”

“make sure you don't get the top room when you have large luggage or are afraid of heights. You have to climb a steep, outside spiral staircase”
