Stayed here initially for 4 nights, then a further 3 seperate nights, all during early to mid-December. Booked on basis of reviews and was not disappointed. This was an excellent bargain. Rooms and hotel were very modern and clean. Cable TV, aircon, two visits by housemaid a day. Buffet was more than enough with hot section and was available until...

We booked this with a flight package and had a marvelous time—Right in the middle of town, walked everywhere! The prices were an extraordinary value and the staff helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were better than most breakfasts you get in a US hotel. Highly recommend. I am surprised this is rated a 2 star hotel, we couldn't think of anything...

We have stayed at the Bisonte Palace several times during the past two years. The location is very central. The hotel is well maintained. The rooms are clean. Baths can be very small. A very good complimentary buffet breakfast is offered. For value ($ 55 double, currently) I believe it is very hard to beat.

Stayed here 12/21-27 2003. Got a great price on orbitz and feel like I robbed the poor hotel! Nice employees, very nice room on 8th floor overlooking main street. Much within walking distance. Feel free to email me for tips on Buenos Aires travel.

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
