The only positive thing about this hotel is the location. The amenities offered are not what they seem. The gym needs maintenance, there are no weights and the machines are held up with rope. The beds are filled with bedbugs. The team is unresponsive and...More
We were given a voucher to spend the night at this hotel when our flight out of Buenos Aires was cancelled. I am going to guess that because we had an airline voucher we were given a lesser room on the darkest, most dingy floor...More
Great location within walking distance of many tourist sights. Wifi worked fine in the room. Breakfast was average at best - way too much sweet stuff. Warm food was plain omelette, thinly sliced ham and fried potatoes (soggy, not crisp and warm not hot)
Centrally located, traditional property with professional staff and convenient 24 hour front desk. Multi-lingual staff are very helpful. The hotel itself is let down by aging amenities.

Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with
ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.

Yes, you can take a taxi from EZE airport, and the fare is around 450 pesos. However, it is cheaper to take the Manuel Tienda Leon Bus shuttle. The bus takes you to their downtown Buenos Aires terminal, and from there a small shuttle takes you to your final destination (your hotel) for no additional charge. Once you exit customs, you will find their office on the left side (along with other taxi booths). The bus is located in front of the domestic terminal, so you will have to roll your luggage for about two blocks. Have a safe, great trip.
