I arrived at the airport in Buenos Aires very late at 3 am in the morning, and very tired from the long flight. I wasn't able to make a reservation online because it would not let me, something to do with the way the site would not allow you to book online the same day you are scheduled to arrive,...

Hello, We are sorry for you experience. Sometimes there are new people working the nightshift and they are not authorized to make reservations on the phone. That is why we have online reservations not only in our webpage but also hostelworld and booking.com I think that writing a review saying that we are the worst without even knowing the hostel...

This hostel is in a great location, looking out over the main square and congress building in the centre of Buenos Aires, staff were good fun and made an effort to try and involve people in drinking/socialising etc. We stayed in an 8 bed dorm which was clean enough and not too cramped, everyone has a large personal locker in...

The location is brilliant, close to everything. However, upon arrival we were shown no help, and received poor attitude from the receptionist. However, the facilities were all there but basic and the bathrooms in my opinion were filthy. The dorms are very cramped and the beds didn't feel safe at all. We lasted 1night and decided to find somewhere nicer....

The location was good, and it was easy to find. Cannot complain about the price either. The rock themed approach was cool too, but I feel that the emphasis should have focused on the cleaniness. It was not the cleanest place I have stayed, and the facilities were not great either. The lounge area was cool to chill out in...

This hotel is cheap but it's quite awful... The toilets are terribly durty, the kitchen smells really bad, the whole hotel is full of dust... The wi fi never works... In addition, the parties are really boring there... El hostel es barato pero es medio pésimo... El baño está tremendamente sucio, la cocina huele feo, todo está cubierto de polvo......

I stayed here on two seperate trips to Buenos Aires. The staff are great and the location is excellent and it is good value for money. The hostel always had a good crowd of people and also boasts a very cool rooftop terrace where sometimes they have live music on the weekends. The place comes with free breakfast - the...

My friend and I originally got a dorm and the bunk beds were so rickety it was impossible to sleep! So we forked over a little extra to get a private room which was totally worth it! The hostel is located so close to a bunch of things - a park is just across and it's just a short walk...

The location is good, bunkbeds are a bit worn and shaky but facilities are ok and bathrooms are clean. However this is not somewhere to stay if you want to sleep. We were woken at 3AM one night by a guy who turned on all the lights in the dorm to do his hair with his GHD and started roaring...

Stayed here first for 1 week, left for 5 days, and then stayed for another week and a half.. Absoloutely loved it! The people, the atmosphere, everything.. The breakfast is a basic argentinian breakfast, but that's just how it is.. The location is great, because it is pretty close to everything, and there are several busstops right outside, so you...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
