We travel often to Buenos Aires and always stay at Melia Recoleta because of the location in the Recoleta neighborhood which gives us access to the restaurants and shops we like, the excellent service and attention of the staff, the comfort of the rooms with excellent beds, the great breakfasts accompanied by live piano music.

A period 1940 hotel, beautifully furnished, former residence of Evita Peron. Unobtrusive profession and attentive service. I great place to stay and enjoy this this historic part of Buenos Aires. Extensive breakfast buffet and comfortable bar in the evening.

We started our honeymoon here and the staff could not have been nicer. Their french restaurant, the fantastic jazz club (not to be missed even if you are not staying there), the location in beautiful Recoleta, it was a glorious experience.

Excellent location. Historic hotel but amenities are excellent. Hotel bar and restaurant were very good. Close to major parks and amenities in the downtown. Service was excellent. Had some minor issues with wi-fi. Would stay at this Boutique hotel again.

It is a nice Hotel, very well located, at the heart of Recoleta. There is a well served good breakfast, and the staff is very kind. The rooms are in good size but at the limit to be a 4 star. The hotel needs a retrofit and update.

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
