This b&b is centrally located in Palermo Soho, with lots of great places to eat and drink just round the corner, also good shopping. The metro is a 15 min walk away, but buses are many and frequent. The breakfasts are always very good, the room is cleaned well and every day. What really makes the place is Ariel, it's...

My friend and I stayed there for 7 nights in the back double room. The location in Palermo was ideal with great shopping and dining options and very safe (which was especially important for 2 young women). We mostly got around Buenos Aires using the subway which was only a few blocks away. Our room was cleaned everyday and it...

The host/owner Ariel designed and oversaw the renovations in this unique home, where each room has its own different color scheme and decor. Buenos Aires is a huge city and new to us, so my wife and I greatly appreciated Ariel’s advice and help in such matters as finding a money exchange and food markets, using the bus system, and...

Palermo Viejo B&B was a perfect home base for our week in Buenos Aires. The owner, Ariel, was extremely helpful- from arranging airport pick-up , making restaurant and sightseeing recommendations, money exchanging tips, and everything in-between. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with Ariel every morning as well as with the others staying at this B&B. Rooms are clean and cozy,...

There are already other great reviews about the accommodation, location and services of this little gem. So, I am going to restrict myself to what I feel makes this place memorable: The owner and host, Ariel. As a first time traveling alone to Buenos Aires, I appreciated the caring and personal concerns that Ariel showed. His help was greatly appreciated,...

Thanks for this nice review. It was a pleasure to have you here, and was interesting chatting with you. Thanks for being a nice guest also. By the way, after your comments here about the wifi signal at the back we've already purchased a new repeater to send a stronger signal to the back.. We are in process of installing...

Only a few words to describe this place: Homely, warm, safe, quiet, clean, well located, best owner, great breakfast, and could go on using nice words to describe such a nice place. Very accommodating, comfortable, in a great location, we've been very well taken care of. From having someone waiting for us at the airport, (follow Ariel`s advice to get...

For my second visit to BA (and my first with my wife), I had no hesitation in again staying at this outstanding B and B. Once again my experience was first class and my wife understood why I had raved about the place for 2 years. We stayed for 6 nights and were absolutely blown away by Ariels kindness and...

Thank You! It was great to have you here again, and what we could do was not enough to take care of such amazing guests. We know we can't please everybody, but sometimes it is easier with easygoing guests with always a smile in the face. Thank You! Hope there will be a 3rd. time. In Argentina there is a...

Here to visit my daughter on a study-abroad term, we stayed here for 4 straight nights and a further single before I had to return. Ariel anticipated everything we needed and encouraged us to ask him anything about the city and country - including historical or political perspectives. You can tell he loves interacting with people. Thumbs way up!

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Stylish B&B in the heart of Palermo Viejo/Soho. The house is located in a 1901 building, traditional of those days in Buenos Aires neighborhoods. The Casa Chorizo has been renewed keeping its original style. High ceilings, brick and thick walls are one of the details to mention. As a narrow landmark the rooms are organized in a row, facing the side patio/garden full of green where hanging out after a long day is a must. All the rooms have private en-suite bathroom and two of them are big enough with a double level to accommodate more than two people, perfect for 3 or 4. The art work of different artists is found everywhere in the property which gives it a Bohemian atmosphere. The decor is simple, where each item was found in flea markets and auctions to make the B&B a warm and a perfect place to feel at home away of home. ... more   less
