Convenient location. Great value - we booked through hotels.com and had a buy 2 nights get 3rd night free deal so the room was really affordable. Loft room is HUGE with beautifully modern decor! Fantastic shower with tons of water volume and plenty of hot water. However, there was a slight leak to the water heater (in the room) every...

A Very pleasant overall ambiance, combines with some intriguing original features particularly the lift and pleasant roof terrace. Rooms are spacious and pleasant, although tv's are v small with no international chan (although perhaps this is in irrelevant when in such an incredible city). Simple style, however elegant and soothing. Breakfast small but pleasant and served on a wonderful room...

This is a great, reasonably priced, modern hotel in a great Buenos Aires- San Telmo location. My room was huge, clean, and even had a tiny view. It's a very cool and trendy place. Unfortunately I found the staff to be consistently snobby and unhelpful when asking for directions or other small requests. I would definitely stay here again, but...

Stayed here for the second BsAs leg of my first trip to Argentina. Great small hotel located near the San Telmo neighborhood-- very close to Plaza de Mayo, the hotel is right on Defensa street [site of the San Telmo street fair on Sundays]. Service was very helpful and accommodating. Our room [a large "loft"] was well appointed and modern....

Tucked away on the edge of San Telmo this hotel is just 5 mins walk from the central Plaza de Mayo and close to all facilities, transport links, restaurants etc. A quirky very dark reception area but with excellent English speaking staff, wonderful old elevator and fantastic bedroom. Super roof=top brekfast room topped off a great 3 night stay

I stayed at this hotel in the last week and had a pleasant experience. I was surprised by how enormous my room was. The staff was especially helpful and the breakfast was decent. The reason i did not give a 5 star was because they advertised a price of 2 for 3 nights on Tripadvisor and did not honor it....

This Hotel was an excellent choice. We stayed for almost a week, the rooms are huge and nice. Only "negative" thing about the room size - wifi doesn't work in every corner of the room :)) Breakfast is great and the staff is very helpful (they organize tours as well) and speaks excellent English! Best thing is the rooftop terrace........

I can really recommend this one. We spent here a couple of days in August during a conference and liked it very much. The rooms are very well decorated, spacious, and clean. Mattresses are comfortable, staff is friendly and helpful. So if you are looking for a decent not to expensive hotel. Go Moreno!

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
