I was staying in the hotel for 2 weeks for business trip and all I can say is: perfect room. The room is very clean, big and tidy. Free wifi access in the whole hotel. Service is ok. The breakfast is at the roof, so you can enjoy the sunrise at the same time. The main place of the city...

Fabulous hotel in San Telmo - lovely classic building and rooms are very spacious with high ceilings, huge bed and chaise lounge - very tastefully decorated and in excellent condition. Staff at front desk were always very helpful and always willing to assist including booking restaurants, taxis, shows, directions, etc. Breakfast okay but could be improved with more choice. Lovely...

The hotel was in San Telmo, which is a beautiful region in Buenos Aires. We met other north american travelers in the hotel, although we are canadian. The terrace overlooked the city and it had a jacuzzi (although it seemed like it was closed). Unfortunately they say the terrace closes at 9pm, but we would go up after that and...

We got a reduced rate by going straight to the hotel's website-$88/night. granted, they slap a 21% tax onto it, but every hotel has that tax in Argentina. We wanted to stay in San Telmo and this place is a great choice for location: convenient to the subway, Plaza de Maio and lots of the recommended restaurants. Ten minutes to...

We are experienced travelers. We stayed at the Moreno in week 1 and week 26 of a 6 month trip to Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile. We were upgraded both times to a better room. When we had wifi problems, they let us plug our PC into the modem. The breakfast was great, all questions were answered, arrangements to and from...

Good hotel in the San Telmo District. Rooms large. Nice lobby. Breakfast very basic, but sufficient. Nice outdoor patio to enjoy it on, if the weather is nice. Room Internet was very sporadic, however lobby wireless and computer were fine. Walking distance to lots of shopping and good restaurants. Would recommend.

Great hotel located between San Telmo and downtown Buenos Aires. I booked the ¨extra large room¨ which was almost the size of my apartment. Pros: huge rooms, free wi-fi, location, staff service, very comfortable beds. Cons: The hotel restaurant is closed at night (although apparently there is an Evita show with dinner in the hotel theater).

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
