We spent 2 nights here while in town on "business" and loved it. Rather than bring a cab into Palermo Soho each afternoon or evening, we stayed right on the corner of Thames and Cabrera (across the street from Cabrera Restuarant, and a block from Lo de Jesus) and were as happy as can be. Sebastian checked us in and...

This place is a bit far from the subway (10 blocks) and from the tourist bus (12 or so blocks), but is extremely close to restaurants and shopping (high end and outlet shopping), as well as nightlife (Tango shows, bars). My friend and I shared a twin room w shared bathroom and balcony for $50/night on the 2nd floor. Didn't...

If you are looking for a cheap and decent room in the Palermo Soho area, this should be your best bet in this area, especially if you want to be in an area with lots of bars and restaurants and not too far from the Outlets district. Palermo Viejo is a great place to stay. Great restuarants and bars around. We really liked this accommodation. Only holds about 10 people. Nice breakfast with pastries. Small kitchen that can really only have one person cooking at a time. Shared bathrooms were fine because it is only 3 rooms sharing. Staff gave us a great deal when we stayed...

We stayed BA Soho rooms for a few days while trying to rent an apartment for the month. It was in a perfect location (right in the heart of Palermo Soho), had clean rooms (we took the room with a balcony & private bath), and the owners were super nice and helpful. I couldn't have been happier with my choice to stay at this sweet and inexpensive little hotel in Palermo Viejo. Although decorated in a minimalist style as befits its budget status, I thought the decor was extremely charming and quite comfortable. The owner was helpful and personable and provided a nice introduction to the neighborhood (in English) on the first...

The Soho-Rooms Hotel is located in the neighborhood of Palermo, where you find the majority of the designer stores, bars, discotheques and milongas - it's a hotspot for nightlife! The hotel just has a few rooms - the design is in 70ies style. The rooms are clean and size is ok. Depending on the room, the bathroom could be very...

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
