We stayed at the hotel twice - at the beginning and end of our trip to Argentina. The hotel occupies the 3rd floor of an old and rundown building in central BA (but no worse than other buildings in the old center). The street does not feel safe at night. The old elevator did not work part of the time,...

It's a little difficult to write this review as for every good part there was a possibly irkesome bad part. The possibly part being dependant on your level of tolerance. To précis it: would I stay there again - yes, absolutely. Would I recommend it - that would depend very much on the person. If you're looking for sterile, functional,...

This is a great place to stay, we had a room that was not facing the street and frankly it was the most peaceful nights sleep I've had in Argentina. Don't stick around for the breakfast, it was a very poor showing.

Stayed in December for 3 nights as tourists. At the outset I have to say that the staff were awesome, having arrived late in the evening after a very long delay, lengthy re routing and without our luggage we were greeted with a friendly staff, speedy check in and helpful guidance as to where we would go out to dinner...

This place has all the charms. Huge high ceilings with old school shutters. Moldings. And it's nestled into one of the great, energetic neighborhoods of Buenos Aires that is made all the better by the fact that it's not one of the overrun tourist parts of the city. Staying here felt like it must have felt to be in BA...

You are in the heart of Buenos Aires the location is perfect. I can’t say enough about the staff. They were knowledgeable and beyond helpful, from sending out our laundry to booking opera tickets for us online. They did it all and were happy to help. They make the place!! The hotel itself is very European with high ceilings and...

Amazing, pay the extra 10 bucks for the tub, worth it. great serivice, like staying in a castle, 14 foot high ceilings, great staff, clean and good location. It was truly a remarkable room, lovely everything. A little loud at night as there were clubs across the street but was very nice place for sure, and we have stayed in...

Staff are really helpful on how to use public transportation/local attractions and speak perfect English. Very nicely decorated rooms with high ceilings as per the pictures online. The hotel is located in a very central part of the city and close to public transport, cafes and restaurants nearby.

My husband and I decided to take a long weekend to make our first visit to Buenos Aires and unfortunately I didn't have much time to study up on much in advance. After doing a little searching I booked Rooney's but I began to doubt my decision after speaking with a few folks who'd visited BA before. I was told...

This was an out of the box surprise for our first visit to Buenos Aires. It is located in one of the wonderful atmospheric Belle Époque apartment buildings in Sarmiento within easy walking distance of the cenotaph and the city centre. It has a (mostly) functioning cage lift, wonderful high ceilings, ancient but effective hydronic central heating, functional and comfortable...
