A bit underwhelmed but the hotel. It was fairly clean and in a very convenient location. However there was nothing special about it, rather average all in all! Ok to stay but don't expect anything out of the ordinary.

Only place that had vacancies due a medical world-congress in the city. It wasn’t clean at all, the carpet was sticky, all the blankets had hairs from previous customers (pic), I had informed about this to the staff but nothing happened. There was no electric outlet in the room, I had to unplug the small old tv to charge my phone. There was humidity in the wall’s bathroom and lack of cleaning. My room 202 was very noisy I can hear all the noises from the street at night, from the wooden stairs that some passenger used to carry their luggage during the night and from an old elevator. 97usd/night (pic) Price-quality is not according to what is described above. Do not book it!/ No lo reserven

I booked this through a Dutch based hotel booking site whose ratings I am increasingly finding to be unreliable. The hotel uses a car park right next door and the gate opened as I drove up - a good sign However, on arrival, I noticed the reception exceptionally hot which I always regard as a bad sign (I stay in hotel rooms over 150 nights each year) Check in was efficient and quick and I was soon on my way to my room via an antique lift which only occasionally seemed to align itself exactly with the floor The room was horrid - like a trip to 25 years ago in décor - and seemed like it hadn't been decorated since. Lots of dirty marks on the wall and antique electric switches and plug points. However the A/C worked well (but read on) The bathroom was cramped and archaic I unpacked and put my clothes for an early start the next day on the second bed which was under the A/C unit, showered and went out for a walk and a beer. On return I noticed that there were lots of black marks on the white bedcover. Trying to wipe these away merely resulted in black smudges on the cover (fortunately they did shake off my clothes) It was clear that these had come from the A/C unit which I switched off and went to bed. Breakfast the next morning was really good but the room was uncomfortably hot which spoiled the meal completely I WOULD NOT even think of staying here again ps I have taken photos of the black spots on the bed etc but deleted them from this device before setting off to the USA so I can't post them at the moment

Had the misfortune to stay at this place. It was during the Copa America, so rooms were difficult to find. My room was awful. I was given a single, even though I'd booked a double. Did they care. No. The room itself was a pitiful excuse for a hotel room and was the worst hotel room I have EVER stayed in. I could describe the room, but frankly all I need to say is that if you willingly choose to stay here, you're mad. Oh...and the high speed internet...actually its a very unreliable slow speed internet.

After a disappointing night in a crappy room at Alto Paraná, for a few dollars more on the following day I moved into hotel Crystal on Entre Rios, only one and a half blocks from the central square. It has decent rooms, good breakfasts and very helpful front desk staff who can suggest local tours and responsible taxi drivers if needed.
