We booked here and it was a mistake. The room faces the pool, which is a pleasant view during the day. However, at night it turns into a bar and nightclub. We were told by the front desk that the music would stop at 11p. Not true. It is almost midnight and the music is still blaring.

The hotel itself is ok, but is definitely old and tired. My main complaint is the shower controls don’t really work. The big rooms are large, spacious and well located. If you are an early to bed kinda person be advised the party doesn’t end till 5am and the walls are thin. I could hear the bar in the bathroom on the top floor. For the money, there are other hotels I’d choose to stay in next time.

This hostel/hotel is brilliantly located in one of the most vibrant areas of Córdoba. It has a great vibe, a cafe, bar, pool, movie area/library! Room (I stayed in a standard double) was well sized. But the real gem here are the staff! So friendly, kind and helpful! I really felt at home! 😊

We booked Selina Nueva in Cordoba as it seemed like the cheapest hostel option available with a pool for ur stay in Cordoba. We were not aware that the hostel was part of a chain, but it was pretty obvious from when we arrived as they treat the front desk and check in more like a hotel than a hostel. They even have a tacky little gift shop selling their own merchandise, which felt a bit weird. We arrived early in the morning and the room was not yet available, but they allowed us to leave our bags at the desk and make use of the hostel facilities in the meantime. We were told that the room would probably be ready by 12:00 or so but it ended up being around 14:30 when we checked in, but that allowed us a morning of exploring the city and some time in the pool which, weirdly, had a cleaning robot perpetually active underwater that made it difficult to swim uninterrupted as the cord would get in the way. The location was also great, right in the city centre about a ten minute walk to the main square. As we stayed there during a holiday day on the lead up to Christmas, we were also in the best location for the outdoors parade there with lots of music and street food available right outside. The four-bed room was comfortable, though it got pretty hot in the night as the air conditioning would turn off. Beds had a curtain for privacy which is always appreciated, and the ensuite bathroom at least had hot water which is more than can be said for a lot of South America. The other hostel facilities were fine; we especially appreciated the little Netflix cinema room which was incredibly comfortable. There is a downstairs bar and restaurant but prices are a lot higher than in other places in the city, something else that made us feel like Selina Nueva was really a hotel pretending to be a hostel. As well, we were not allowed to bring our own drinks downstairs to sit outside by the pool for this reason, which was a shame. However, when we had checked out and had a while to wait for our bus, the staff did give us access back to the cinema which was nice of them. Oh, and if you download the Selina app then you get a free spirit and mixer from the bar.

Hi Similtiades, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this detailed review. Pointing both the things you liked and the things that didn't meet your expectations. Knowing how your experience was to this detail, allow us to put the proper actions and changes in place in order to improve our service and quality standards. Regarding the hotel and hostel mix that you perceived, actually Selina is an ecosystem where private rooms and shared dorms coexist, aswell as a retail store, a grab & go, bars, events, and more and more, which complete our offer to the guests and to the local community. That's the way we think we can provide an unforgettable and unique experience addressing diverse guest and visitors needs. We are changing the robot working hours, it needs a rest, and it needs to let you swim at ease. But it loves the pool, it's not that easy to take it out ;) Thank you for every word, again, despite the humour, we take it very seriously. I would love to get in touch, you can reach me at: ramirod@selina.com Regards, Ramiro Damil General Manager
