Detailed Reviews
Arrived very early from an overnight bus journey from Salta, and were expecting only to drop our luggage until check in time. However the receptionist on duty made our room available at no extra cost, which we really appreciated. The staff at the hotel are extremely friendly. The room was cleaned every day and towels changed also. On check out, it was before the start of breakfast, but the night staff gave us coffee and croissants before we left, which was a nice touch. Downside is road noise at the front of the hotel and other noisy guests returning late at night, as the soundproofing in public areas and between rooms is poor. The room furniture is very basic, but that's what you get with budget prices.

Savannah Cordoba Hotel, is a basic hotel. Breakfast include, About the service is correct, we had an inconvenience with the room service, one day not make and , other day delay to make... Ms Mariana at front desk is very good with the service and information. Location near Plaza San Martin. About the rooms need maintenance.

The rooms were quite dated and the views from the window were concrete walls of the next building. The area is really close to the bus station and well within walking distance to the hotel. We stayed in a quad family room. The beds were quite comfortable and the breakfast basic. Personally I feel it was quite expensive for what it was and you probably could do better if you looked around. To be honest we also found Cordoba quite disappointing.

One of the traps booking a hotel from far away on line is the deceptive use of photos and descriptions. Savannah was a trap for us. Staff were friendly, and location is good and central, but the ambiance and physical facilities poor. Heater noisy. Lights appalling. Layout poor. Bed firm, but covers dubious and synthetic. Room allows smoking, and in fact, ashtrays were glued to bedside tables (yuk!). WiFi good in the lobby but progressively non existent (we were on 3 - ask for 1 or 2 if you decide to give this place a go). Breakfast included, but given the overall experience, decided to go out and find a good cafe.

Let's just say that the Savannah's glory days are long past! Our bedroom had mismatched broken furniture and the paint was peeling on the ceilings. The tiles in the stairwell were broken and cracked. You get the picture...
On the plus side, this is a very handy location for walking to/from the Terminal de Omnibus (we bused in from Mendoza and out to Buenos Aires) and is also easy walking distance to the main tourist sights. The staff on the front desk were very friendly (although had no English) and the complimentary breakfast was not bad. We were also able to check in early, which was great.
I did um and ah about giving this a 3 rating, but the general hotel condition is so bad I couldn't say it rated "average" overall.
Maybe OK if you're used to hostels but if you want something better perhaps try elsewhere?

This small boutique hotel is in a good location for the bus and train terminals and just a three block walk to the main plaza. The prices are very good and the rooms are simple and clean. There is a morning buffet breakfast with breads, pastries, juice, tea, and coffee. For a short stay in Cordoba capital this is a good deal.

Needed a place to stay near a friend's apartment. Location was excellent, near to the train station and easy walking distance (10 minutes) into the Unesco World Heritage downtown area. Good jogging nearby along the river, and looping around into the main park. Recommend staying on the upper floors (there are only 6) for a view of the local cathedral and for good light. Rooms on lower floors might be a bit dark for those who care about such things. Hotel staff are wonderful, friendly and accommodating. I don't speak Spanish and they don't speak English but that was fine! Breakfast is varied and you can fill up if you need to save money by not eating lunch. Wifi worked very well throughout the hotel except for a couple of black spots. If you need wifi in your room to work well, check it on your PC before unpacking. Hotel can arrange a good private transfer back to Cordoba airport which is safe.
Most of all the price was hugely reasonable, especially compared to more seedy looking hotels in the area...which is safe by the way and there is a reasonable police presence.

we stayed a few nights at savannah and it's was good, it's a new hotel and the rooms are clean, spacious with decent bathroom. the breakfast is simple but good. there's free wi-fi in the room. the location was also good, a few blocks from the center and a few blocks from the bus terminal. if you compare with hostels is this hotel good value for money (we payed 195 pesos). the only little negative point is that the doors make a lot of noise to open or close, if other people come in their room you will hear it, but otherwise it's quiet.

We checked into this hotel very last minute, and stayed for 3 nights. Overall the hotel suited our needs perfectly, even though it is a very basic travel lodge style hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was basic (a selection of pastries, bread and hot drinks) but does the job, and the room was clean, and spacious enough to accommodate our luggage. The location for us was absolutely fine - as we love walking. You are about 7 minutes to San Martin square, 15 minutes from the bus station, and a 20-25 minute walk from the cool, student area of Guemes where we dined. We chose the hotel after comparing it to the price of a local hostel - Savannah was only £10 a night more, but offered the private bathroom and free breakfast. In our eyes, it was therefore great value for money.

Wew came from Mendoza on a morning flight to the original colonial capitol of Argentina,Cordoba.I must mention;be wary of taxi drivers who cover the meter. When we arrived in Buenos Aires, the guy charged us 260 pesos for a 12 block ride to the hotel. The desk clerk told me "50 pesos is the maximum for that ride"-so,be very careful.Ask people where you are how much a cab should cost.Use buses and public transportation as much as you can.At any rate,we paid about 450 pesos to get to the Hotel Savannah. The place looked dated, but had a African Savannah decor. We were given room 603-on the street side of the top floor. We had been in room 306 the night before in Mendoza.
This hotel had four rooms per floor and does need some updates.Staff was very helpful when we needed directions or food, but the doors-even with digital card locks-did not seem too secure. They are thin wood and very old.The bed was reasonably comfortable and the bath was pretty good-except that there was zero counter space for toothbrushes, hair supplies, etc.Hot water supply was good. The breakfast wqas the typical several types of bread,Sunny-D-type stuff they call "juice",coffee, cocoa, jams, toast and not much else.On par with the vast majority of "Continental breakfast"you find in lots of hotels in South America.
