Comfy beds, nice breakfast (fruit would be a good addition) and great staff!! Greta was excellent and so helpful with booking further transport. More bathrooms would be good as the showers are often occupied, but the shower was great! Great location, easily walkable to most things.

I came to Córdoba to stay there for two nights. But I felt so comfortable in the hostel that it was five. The staff were so friendly. We quickly became friends. I would particularly like to highlight Gaston and Racim. Racim was so friendly and Gaston made his own BBQ and pizza. I spent wonderful evenings there. And they even had a secure garage for my bike. Perfect stay, thank you

This hostel is well located near Colón, so when you're coming from the airport with the public bus you can stop very close to the hostel do you don't need a taxi or walk a lot. Friendly people in this hostel. Also the kitchen is well equipped and the staff is friendly and cool, helping you a lot with traveling Córdoba. My recommendation for Córdoba for you.

I can’t understand how this hostel is so highly rated. On the positive side, the location is good, there were hot showers and our room had air conditioning. But overall, not a great experience. We had a mixed experience with the staff. Some were helpful, especially the woman who checked us in at 7am and let us use the showers (straight off a night bus). But others couldn’t speak any English, unusually, and also did not make any effort to slow down or simplify their Spanish to a level we could cope with. Overall this made communication a bit difficult. The WiFi was desperately slow and regularly cut out entirely, which was particularly frustrating as we were trying to book our onward travel. The bed in our room was extremely uncomfortable. The sheet was thin and too small, which meant it came loose when sleeping leaving you lying on the mattress underneath (presumably like many others). The rest of the bedding consisted of a top sheet and a couple of cushions. Hairs on the bed suggested it wasn’t terribly clean (and neither was the rest of the room). Breakfast consisted of hot water with tea/coffee sachets, radioactively-coloured sugar-coated cereal, and a bread roll. The kitchen was pretty unpleasant - a fridge in the corner smelt disgusting - and had very limited facilities and equipment. The (not cheap) laundry service lost some of our clothes. And the airport transfer quote the hostel gave us the evening before our flight had magically doubled overnight when we actually came to need it.

Hi Jonathan, Thank you very much for your comments. We pay special attention to negative reviews, as they are the ones that really help us improve. But I need to point out that some of your complaints aren't really fair. To start off, many of our receptioninsts are, like yourself, travellers, so they know what it is to be in a foreing country in which people speak a different language. They make their best tu understand and be understood. And, let me say, you had a VERY THICK accent. Even for me, that studied english for many years, it was difficult to understand you. Add that to the fatct you barely understood a few words of spanish, and we get that maybe it was the other way round: you, in a spanish speaking country, gave our receptionists a hard time to communicate with you. But I assure you that from now on they will try harder :) Then, we make it perfectly clear that we don't provide laundry service or transfer to the airport, but arrange it for guests on request. Yes, the laundry service lost one of your socks, but we went out of our way to solve the problem and one of our receptionists even went to the laundry shop personally. We got them to pay for the missing stuff and I personally gave the money to you (more than enough to buy replacements). We are disappointed that you don't acknowledge that on your review, but just complain about the service (not provided directly by us). The rest of the review... well, it's very creative. "...radioactively-coloured sugar-coated cereal"? Come on man, it's just cereals. As the vast majority of our reviews indicate, we are a good hostel. We make our best for guests to be happy and comfortable, and have a good time. Sometimes there are problems, it's inevitable, but people tend to recognize we work very hard to solve them and that we try to always be at their disposal. Of course we're not happy that we didn't make it for you, but maybe, just maybe, you were a little more concentrated on finding nuclear problems in our breakfast than on having a good time. Anyway, thank you very much for your comments. We will pay special atention to them to continue improving. We wish you a very good rest of your trip :) Horacio - Link Córdoba Hostel
