We just visited the Hotel - it is very clean - comfortable - has excellent heating system (important when it is -7C!) and the (hotel) staff is really very helpful. Unfortunately the restaurant is very bad - the breakfast is very, very poor (for example, no whole wheat bread, no non-sugar jam, no ham nor cheese - well - very... More

We stayed 1 night at Canon Talampaya. The hotel is what it is given its location. The staff were very nice. The rooms were comfortable but with a slight smell every time you opened the door. We never did figure out what was, or where it came from. The pool appeared murky and dirty. Not sure if it was a... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was one of the first built at the hotel so lacking in a view but was comfortable. Lacking in places to hang our towels so we hung them on the shower rod until it collapsed!! We were able to fix it. Staff very friendly and the evening meals were wonderful-highly recommend that... Common areas of the hotel are great, cosy and comfortable. But, rooms are extremely simple, with no access to wifi and at least in our room, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. Breakfast is poor considering the price being paid. Staff is kind and friendly.

The hotel is located in a beautiful area. The staff was very friendly. It is just a half an hour drive from the Talampaya canyon and Valle de la Luna, a 3-minute drive to Villa Union's city square, and within walking distance to nice restaurants. The hotel's design is beautiful and it blends itself well with the La Rioja landscape.... More

From the outside it looked very nice but in the end it was a little disappointing. Staff spoke barely English (except for one) so information was hard to get, still they helped us very good organizing a trip to Laguna Brava (a must see, perfect trip). In the - small - room: a good bed, a lousy pillow, no refrigerator,... More

We stayed two nights at the hotel in order to make day trips into the nation parks. The location is fine the hotel nice, service staff is friendly. Downsides: breakfast was ok, nothing special. The restaurant food is as expected - not great but eatable. The Miskitos are very irritating and aggressive. Here I would wish the hotel did something... More

Unique architecture and design, very well integrated into its surroundings. However, our overall experience has been rather disappointing: all day loud music from the neighbors next to the hotel, we had some doubts on the quality of the food, found a number of cockroaches in the room and swimming pool wasn't clean... A pity for such a beautiful place!

We stayed with friends for two nights while visiting Valle de la Luna and Talampaya. Quite a ride, but worth the while, and besides there is nothing closer. There are a couple of other nice hotels in this same town, Villa Union, but Canon seemed best. All the previous reviews are fine, and I agree 100% about the rooms, the... More

You feel (you are) in the middle of nowhere and suddenly, just a few km away from Villa Unión, and after several hours of car driving, you find this awesome and beautiful hotel. The sightseen is unbeliebable, personnel is kind, and breakfast superb (croissants, cereals, bread, milk, coffee, local delicatessen and juices). You cannot miss the chance to sleep here!!... More
