This is truly a special place to stay. The small cozy grounds are like a mini-jungle, rich with vegetation and visiting birds. Our room was spacious and clean with great a great shower. Our included breakfast was over the top with fresh fruit, homemade bread, jams, juice, fresh brewed coffee and eggs on request. The friendly and courteous staff of...

Smack, dab in the middle of a Puerto Iguazu middle-class neighborhood. Sitting on the intimate deck of one of the three (3) cottages or, after walking through a 20' rain forest on a wooden deck to relax around beautiful, natural hewn tables made from massive trees, one cannot help but soak in the beautiful quiet and deep green. Humming birds,...

We spent two nights here this week. We chose it because of the great reviews it received and because I wanted a smaller place, something more intimate and with a local flavour. We loved it! The setting is beautiful, tranquil and inviting. John and Roxy (the host and his adorable Jack Russel dog) made us feel welcome and were a...

John's b&b is a real pleasure. There are just three rooms set in beautiful gardens which are lovingly maintained. The room I stayed in was extremely comfortable, clean and stylish, in keeping with the surroundings. The bed was incredibly comfortable also. John, the owner is very helpful and friendly and every night at 6.30 Caipirinhas and snacks are served as...

We stayed at Secret Garden for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. John Fernandes, the host, arranged for Gustavo to meet us the airport and then took us on a short guided tour of Puerto Iguazu. The place is small and the rooms well appointed in a simple way. We were welcomed with iced maté tea and homemade banana...

I stayed at the Secret Garden just last week and have been struggling with what supurlatives not to use for my stay. Utterly charming location a very brief walk from good restaurants and the 'downtown'. The garden is amazing, I sat in awe in a chair just outside my room admiring the view and the wildlife sipping a beer provided...

We recently stayed at The Secret Garden for 3 nights along with our friends. John is a charming host and the hospitality was exceptional. His staff are also lovely. He also organised all our trips to the falls for us with a local taxi firm as well as both airport transfers so we didn't have to worry about a thing....

WE stayed at Secret Garden three nights recently. The owner, John, goes out of his way to help you in any way, while running a good establishment. The rooms are rather basic but everything needed. The breakfast is wonderful with a delicious fresh fruit salad and wonderful coffee (and other things too!) John knows the area very well and can...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
An ideal place to jump-start your visit to the Iguazu Falls in Argentina. High on concept the Secret Garden is populated by tree ferns and other shade-loving plants salvaged from the slash and burn rural and logging activities decimating the surrounding rain-forest. Our location allows you to get a feel of living in a small South American frontier town and has easy access to urban amenities. ... more   less
