Recently I was in this place, everything was okay, Location is good, bed and room were nice , Eugenia is very helpful, housekeeping was also good. My only complaint is about the breakfast, very disappointed, very poor, not fruits, no ham or cheese no natural juice, cereal low quality, definitely has to be improved.

Our host, Eugenia, was very friendly and very helpful. She could not have been nicer. The location is a short walk from downtown, and the tour companies were all able to pick us up and drop us back off there. The room was very cozy, nice heated floors! The room was immaculate. The bed was the most comfortable of our trip. It was very relaxing there. The breakfast tortes were amazing -- almost like cake. We really enjoyed our stay there and really appreciate all the assistance Eugenia gave us in getting tours and transfers arranged. We would definitely return.

Casa Patagonica is a "bed and breakfast", hostel-like place. You get a room with private restroom, breakfast is also included. Owners live in the house. You meet them daily and their family. They are very friendly. Even staff may be there with there children, which gives place to meet and enjoy a chat. This is an absolutely friendly place for families. The room we stayed was small but adequate for 4 (and we were 4 plus a baby so we knew it would be tight).Place is clean. Beds could be better but they are ok. Breakfast is good. In addition to your room, you can use a common area for breakfast or lunch/dinner: you cannot cook, but you can warm and eat simple meals in this area, in addition to just use it to sit and talk (enlarging your actual room's space...). There is place for 2 cars; or 3 if you talk to the other drivers knowing who leaves earlier in the morning. The area is very nice, 400m from the beach and about 1km South from the commercial area - you can walk and drive over there in a breeze, and you have some smaller shops nearby, and you do not get the noise and people of other places. We would be back there again next time we visit Puerto Madryn!

The place has a really warm touch, clean rooms, nice breakfast and the owner is very nice & helpful. She gave us all the info we needed about the town an also booked tours for us [Punta Tombo(pinguin colony) and Peninsula Valdez] no extra charge. Breakfast is basic but good, the owner bakes really delicious cakes:). You can use the kitchen fridge and microwave, cooking is not allowed but really no an issue. There's a cool place nearby (less than 5 min walk) at which you can buy home-made delicious (cheap) food. Also "puerto pasta" is a great place to buy empanadas and pizzas (not as close though). there's a pc you can use and my husband and I happened to be in both shared and private bathroom rooms while we stayed there and they were both fine. locaion - 20 min walk from the center' though walking along the beach is really nice. as far as tours it doesn't make any difference since all agencies come to pick you up from the hostel. we sure had a great time and highly recommend it:):)

I recently went down to visit Peninsula Valdez and Punta Tomba, and stayed at the Casa Patagonica for a couple of nights. Great value, and an easy 15 - 20 minute walk into the center of town on a well lite sidewalk. Hosts / owners were great, and they help with all your tour arrangements. I stayed (single traveler) using the shared bathroom and didn't find it to a problem at all. Would stay there again the next time I go down. Lots of space in the common area, kitchen, dining table, TV and computer along with wifi, and you meet other like minded travelers which is a bonus.
