We stayed for a number of nights at Patanuk to get in some good hiking. We loved the view from the dining room (and our lake had a sliver of a lake view as well). The atmosphere was relaxing and the staff were friendly. Our room was big, clean, and had a comfortable bed. The kitchen was well-equipped for multiple... More

It is a cheap hostel, nice and helpful staff. When I went to book the hostel it looks great, so I booked for 1 week hope to have nice time , but after first night I feel so disappointed, there is a bar the hostel run, music on till 2am, second night till 5am, the hostel is build with wood,... Amazing views and staff that speak English, French and Spanish. Clean rooms and attentive staff, I came to this hostel after a terrible stay at Punto Sur. Waking up to the sound of the waves rolling on the rocks was one of the best parts for me, very relaxing.

Although this hostel does not have curb appeal do not let that put you off. The facilities are good, full use of kitchen, excellent hot water and a roomy quad wuth private bathroom for our family of four. The view from the dining room is stunning. Sylvia arranged a half day kayaking which was excellent. The hostel is easy walking... More

We stayed here last year whilst travelling around the northern part of Argentina. It is set in a central location overlooking beautiful mountains and lakes. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and for what it is, it's ideal for a couple of nights when backpacking. Worth booking for the best views in town coupled with local knowledge.

1st night we were awake until 5am because house music was playing. I went down to speak to the guy on reception who was rude and just wanted to carry on practicing guitar. 2nd night ok apart from the floor boards that you can feel people walking on even in a different room. 3rd night a big group were cooking... Place has potential but is endemically dirty and in serious need of maintenance. Sheets, towels etc grubby and really not nice, to say the least. Some staff really don't belong in hospitality; some lovely. The view is super and the price is cheap. It's a hostel so obviously quite noisy at times.

Located right on lago Nahuel Huapi. You awaken to the sound of water lapping the shore. Good private rooms and shared bunk rooms with a drop dead view? Good English, French spoken. Very lovely staff. Laundry service! Clean! Wifi, central to everything in town and bus stops.

The front room of the hostel is filled with light and has a beautiful view, beyond that the rooms are dark with few functioning lights. We stayed in two different rooms both of which had a large amount of mold, the showers were hit or miss when it came to heat and neither had enough water pressure to produce more... More

Excellent lake view from the bright common room and dorms but otherwise a tad dark. The place has a lot of potential but could really do with a good clean in the corners and some regular maintenance. Super lovely staff put a shine on things though. We stayed in the apartment which would comfortably fit four. However, the bathroom was... More

“If you want to splurge, there are two apartments upstairs. The front apt. Has the lake view. Both are roomy and comfortable street side apt is a little noisy from street traffic, but if you sleep with the window open , the lake will provide a restful rhythm of waves to lull you.”
