Estancia del Carmen is a rare find for me. Situated comfortably outside the city bustle, it does require a car (and one's holiday in Bariloche should include a rental). But the advantages of staying outside the city are significant here (spectacular views of the Cathedral mountain and lake Gutierrez). The service was impeccable, the room cleaned immaculately every day. The...

I generally only write very positive reviews as there is far too much negativity on most review sites. With this resort hotel however, some of the reviews on Trip Advisor seem very far from my experience. This review is mixed, but hopefully fair. Let me say first, that we ended up at the Estancia del Carman for 3 days on...

Well, the breakfast was disgusting, there was few choices, and the bread was very fat, almost impossible to eat it. The room has mildew, not good smell as well, not really clean. It was very difficult to use the shower, either very hot or very cold. It was far from the city centre if you want to go there you...

Although this hotel is about 10 km off the beaten path it is definitely worth the drive (or $2 transfer the hotel provides). We stayed in the cabins which were warm, cozy and had all the amenities. The pool was somewhat small but the sauna, steamroom and jacuzzi were incredible. A special THANKS to Reuben who made our stay possible...

We stayed for four nights at this hotel – the room was large, warm, and had a large comfortable bed. However, the most outstanding feature was the magnificent view over Lago Gutierrez, both from the room itself and from the public areas downstairs. The hotel looked slightly unfinished from the entrance but the place was very clean and the lounge...

We went in winter, and found this by chance. The rooms were big, and with the fire going, a great spot to be The best place for a full getaway. Overlooks the lake for amazing views. The restaurant was fantastic, and the staff very helpful. Recommended to anyone

We arrived late at night (1:30AM) with no reservations because of problems at the place we did have reservations. They had a cabin open for us in no time. Because it was off-season, they were repairing their restaurant, so I can't comment on that aspect. What I can say is that the cabin was spacious, clean, and with everything in...
