My friend and I had an outstanding experience at the lodge. We went at the end of the tourist season which I highly recommend because we ended up being two of four people staying at the lodge, making it an exceptionally private experience. Our host, Pedro, was very accommodating as was his staff. Our guides were knowledgeable as we went...

we stayed 2 nights. The food is delicious and the staff very friendly. We recommend horse riding and the trekking to the view point and in the canyon near the Upsala Glacier.

We were booked at Estancia Cristina through Alejandro at Breaking Trails. It was the final destination on a lovely 12 day jaunt through Buenos Aires, Bariloche and El Calafate. Cristina is a former sheep ranch located in the national park, only reachable by boat. The accommodations are first rate, as is the food. The staff is warm, well versed in...

We decided to book one night to stay at Estancia Cristina rather than do a day trip. Although it is expensive, we are definitely glad we made this decision, particularly as we were traveling with 3 small children and staying at the Estancia avoided having too much travel time/boat time in one day, and also allowed us to do a...

We recently stayed here for 3 nights and couldn't rate it more highly. As staying guests you are treated like a VIP. The location is stunning, the activities brilliant and the staff friendly and helpful. During our stay there was never more than 6 people on any activity. The hike from the glacier, through the canyon back to the estancia...

Estancia Cristina may be hard work to get to but it is worth the effort! It is only accessible by boat (2 hours) but the trip out there, via the Uppsala Glacier) is spectacular. The cabins/rooms are very comfortable and a short walk away from the main lodge which houses the reception and restaurant/bar. The food is very good and...

Remote, beautiful place with wonderful hiking, horseback riding, and terrific meals. Wait staff at the Octagono was solicitous and professional. All in all, a once in a lifetime kind of place to stay.

This is such a wonderful and unique place to enjoy while in Patagonia. The history, the beauty and the wonderful accommodations make this a really special place! I would highly recommend taking a trip to this beautiful resort. It is definitely worth the long boat ride and the fact that the power gets turned off at night.

You have to be into hiking, and/or fishing or horseback riding. Not easy to get here (once a day boat) but you can get to some of the most beautiful hiking in Patagonia. Nice rooms and restaurant, excellent service.
