I feel guilty being truthful because the owners are so nice, welcoming, and helpful, but this is basic accommodation -- it's a place with friendly owners who provide a no-frills b&b room. My room was large, and the bed was comfortable, with industrial/basement carpeting and paint-stained furniture. The house does have a lovely terrace with a view of the lake,...

Excellent Posada run by Federico who speaks English, Spanish, Italian, and French well. Just outside the centre of Calafate but only a ten minute walk from bus station. Provides excellent breakfasts and evening meals, excellent value, will arrange taxis and tour pickups. Highly recommended.

My wife and I are coming to the close of a 5 night stay at Posada Karut Josh in El Calafate, Argentina. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay - not only because of the very nice accommodations, but also because of the incredibly friendly helpful hosts, Claudia and Frederico. Our room was perfect (#5) - spotless, well maintained, and with...

We stayed at Posada Karut Josh in January and it was one of the favorite stays during our trip. Claudia and Federico are warm, supportive and friendly hosts. The location of the B&B is quiet with beautiful views of the lake. Both Claudia and Federico know the area well and had great advice on restaurants, driving routes, and other activities....

Claudia and Federico are lovely welcoming hosts in a homely bed and breakfast. Email communication and advice prior to our trip was very comforting as it is not easy to arrange things in El Calafate from Australia. Staying at Karut Josh was like staying in someone's home. It is in a quiet location at the end of the main street...

We stayed at this family run cottage hotel for two nights while we visited the Perito Moreno Glacier and National park. It was wonderful. Claudia and Federico are outstanding hosts and treated us like family, supplying our every need. Delicious omelettes made to order by Federico every morning and a clean comfortable room. I can highly recommend this place in...

We stayed at Posada Karut Josh only one night - it was late arrival by a bus from Torres Del Paine and the next day we had late afternoon bus to El Chalten. It was our first entrance to Argentina and we wanted to see Perito Moreno glacier in the morning. The hosts were wonderful - we exchanged several emails...

We weren't feeling well when we arrived at Posada Karut Josh, and hosts Carolina and Federico could not have been nicer or more helpful. Our upstairs room was quiet and comfortable. It was nice to be away from the busy street nearby, but this posada was only about 10 minutes by foot from banks (Banco Santa Cruz only allowed us...

Comfortable, quiet, secure with helpful hosts. Great location, very close to La Pura Vida -- got to be one of the most fun restaurants in Argentina. Very nice of hosts to let us stay in the room till 1p.m. There are no frills but you can't complain at this price.

If you expect something fancy, or boutique whatsoever you won't find it here. If you expect a very welcome house, with very friendly hosts...and really really amazing food...you are in the right place. Big rooms, very basic amenities but the family which run it is amazing...specially in the kitchen.
