We booked here last minute because it was cheap for a double room relative to everything else in El Calafate. The carpets are stained and questionable but the sheets and bathrooms are clean. Quiet and not too far from the main city centre. Breakfast was the most varied we have had so far on our trip in Argentina. The staff...

We were part of a tour group and got assigned to this hotel. Everything about this hotel screams cheap - the rooms seem old, the furniture seems old, the couch upstairs was in poor condition, and even the keyboard for their public computer was broken. In one of our rooms the shower curtain had this rust stained color on it....

This hotel has amazing views, and although not a luxury property it is clean, comfortable and has everything you need. Staff are pleasant and we were lucky that Josefina on the front desk spoke perfect English. She was exceptionally helpful and made our stay at Picos Del Sur even more enjoyable. Any problems that we had were sorted immediately and...

We stayed here twice, each time for one night whilst travelling with a group. It is a comfortable, quiet hotel about 8 mins walk to town centre, uphill on a gravel road on return! Close to a couple of good restaurants. Reception staff helpful. The rooms were a good size, comfortable bed but there is no lift to the first...

We stayed here on a recent trip to El Calafate - we left the booking quite late and found that we had slim pickings. That said, most of the places in town seem to be of average price/quality. Very basic, motel style rooms. Thin walls, uncomfortable beds. Frosty, unhelpful reception. Location is fine. It is a short walk into town,...

This was a real find for us. It is close to the best restaurants in town, is one of the very few hotels with a fine view, has comfortable rooms and really helpful staff. We returned there three times as we enjoyed the natural wonders of the area. I even gave up a mediocre, twice-as-expensive previously booked hotel to stay...

The hotel is beautiful, full of polished wood, open space and light. We were greeted with a welcome drink and the service stayed top notch after that. The rooms are spacious and comfy. There are two free internet terminals on the mezzanine floor. Breakfast was nice, with quite a number of choices, though not cooked food. My only reservation in...

The hotel is set on a hill a little way out of town. Perfect to escape the hoards of backpackers lining the streets of Calafate. Views are good from one side of the hotel, the qothers overlook someones garden!! service was excellent and the cocktails delicious. All in all a good spot and a good hotel.

Our family stayed 3 nights and the service was well above average and the staff went out of their way to help. They have a 4 station internet lobby with small fees and the staff made exchange of US dollars to Pasos without a discount or service charge. We were about an hour from the Glaciers and spent two full...

We were 3 nights in November 04. The hotel was in its second year. Everything is quite new, large rooms (we requested a change from twins to queen). Customer service was helpful and friendly. In general we liked it very much. The best: breakfast buffet is excellent if you are into sweets. Cookies, pastries and cakes are baked on premises...
