Just average. I chose this hotel because of the solid number 2 at the trip advisor ranking. Location was great, as you could walk around the town, and management was very friendly. Rooms were ok and it was clean. I didn't see other hotel rooms in Ushuaia so I can't compare, for me it worked as it was quite central....

Ushuaia – Hotel Austral – location is superb as it is just 1 block from the main street - Av San Martin , view is good and rooms are spacious and clean. It is run by a couple and they are very helpful – allowed us to access their kitchen as v were vegeterians so we had some ready to...

GREAT hotel deal for this area. Despite some curious comments below, this Hotel is only **ONE** block above the main street, St Martin - where everything occurs in this town. And most important you are in the KEY part of the main street here too. Lively bar right across the road if you do not want to stagger that far,...

We stayed in Hotel Austral only one night in mid-March and had an excellent stay. Our room was ready when we got there and was clean and spacious. Wi-fi worked in the room, which is awesome if you bring your laptop (there was also a communal computer in the main lobby). The woman on duty (the owner maybe?) was very...

This is a good hotel for the central location, just a bit up a hill from the main street. Nice big lobyy with free internet (but in the morning the sun shines on it so difficult to see something). Very friendly staff with one employee who speaks excellent English. Room is very simple and small, with very smalll TV but...

We just returned from spending three nights at the Hotel Austral. It was an excellent experience and a great value. Facundo and his staff do everything possible to make you feel at home and the location makes it convenient to everything. Good continential breakfast is included.

We chose the Hotel Austral for a 2 night stay before embarking on an Antarctic cruise because of the reviews on Trip Advisor. We were totally pleased with this choice. Yes, it is "simple", but very comfortable with a great location and helpful, English speaking, staff. Also on the "plus" side was a computer with internet access for guest use....

Husband and wife manage this hotel and there is no attitude. You felt at home as soon as you checked in. Facundo the owner arranged tours in Ushuaia and actually called for a tour operator in El Calafate to inquire about their packages. Only a couple of blocks up from the main street, you were able to walk all over...

We stayed at the Hotel Austral one night before going to Antarctica and the night after the trip. Both times we were greeted warmly. We chose the hotel mainly for its great location just one block off the main road, San Martin. We saw two different rooms, one being cleaner than the other. The rooms are quite big, no luxury,...

This is one of those places where you come away feeling very satisfied that you got a real good deal and value for money. We deliberately did not go somewhere expensive as we would not be there long and this place exceeded our expectations. The check in staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms are good size with large...
