The modern hostel is right in the market area of town, not far from the colonial centre. The ladies who seemed to run the place were pleasant and the room huge, modern and comfortable. So why then did it only score three out of the five possible points? As soon as I had a closer look around I couldn´t help...

This is an inexpensive hotel (I paid $22 USD for a single room) a couple of blocks from the bus station in Ibarra, but the rooms are surprisingly modern, clean and spacious. Normally in this price range in Ecuador, hotel rooms will be uglier and older. So I was very pleasantly surprised. I don't think the neighborhood is dangerous at...

The staff were nice enough to walk us directly to the bus terminal and also get my girlfriend's show fixed whilst we visited the market in Otovalo ($3US bus ride). They also provided us with tea and coffee on request. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained but the bed was quite firm and a bit creeky but overall...

We stayed at this hotel because we were participating in a bike ride from Quito to Tulcán, so we made a stop in Ibarra. At first we were scared because the hotel is located in a not so nice part of town. It is close to the main market and the train station, which was a bit of a scary...

It was my second time at H. Fevilamir. They still remembered me. Everything was clean and tidy, as in the pictures. I chose it because there is a market close by very active and diverse, with locals and also indigenous people from close towns selling their fruits, clothes, etc. Anything you want is there. It is not dangerous and people...

This family hostel is run by a young couple who is very welcoming and will do its upmost to make you feel at home. The hostel and rooms are very clean. Looks like having been recently renovated as floor, decoration and furniture are new and of good quality. Wifi available. Very good breakfast in the top floor. The hostel is...

Quite a while has passed since we stayed at Fevilamir. We now live about 20 minutes from there . But we had a great stay, very comfortable. We also had the breakfast they offer for a little more and we enjoyed that too. Wifi etc. Not a great area at night. Take a safe taxi to the door if you...

I use the Trip Advisor a lot, but have not written many reviews. But this hostal really deserves a mention. The hostal seems new, so everything is nice and tidy and the whole place has a modern appearance. Large room and large bathroom with lots of hot water. Rooms serviced daily. Friendly owners - they do not speak English, but...

The Hostal Fevilamir in Ibarra is fantastic. My wife and I booked for three nights, and ended up staying for five. The family that run this hostal are friendly and helpful and make your stay a pleasure. The hostal itself is the most modern for the price in all of the hostals we have stayed in, in the last seven...

Reading the other review (in Spanish) I agree that the neighborhood is not great. Nuh-uh. BUT, I was only there for an overnight rest between bus trips so it didn't really matter to me. I arrived late and left early (only $1 each way in a taxi) and was totally thrilled to see this spacious, clean, new, rather nice room...
