Agree, rooms are nice enough. The front car/bell people (Spencer😊) were fantastic and we’re also helpful and knowledgeable! I didn’t even mind the bike I had wasn’t working right because they were helpful. A+. The rest of the hotel only feels like they are taking advantage of you and don’t care. I addressed issues with Abby and Melissa and they smiled and did nothing. Outrageous was that Renatas , the hotel restuarant charged me 20% gratuity for me doing PICK UP. My $26 dinner pick up was almost $40! When I asked Abby how could that be for pick up, Abby smiled and told me 20% gratuity is automatic and to take it up with the hotel restuarant. What hospitality! The spa was no better. No availability for a message service (I offered them 3 days) ). This can happen but when you over hear it is because spa doesn’t want to cut 5 minutes away from a break (this seemed be most important for all there). So I signed up for two classes; I showed up and a spa member took me to the class but there was a conference in the room, no class. No one had a clue. And I was not notified and obviously the hotel staff weren’t notified either. Keith, who we were told is the manager, finally got back to us that no there was no class. Also the pool slides were not working. And in the main pool music was blaring with commercials!!!! Very very very disappointed. This could have been so nice in this great location. The big smiles and taking no responsibility for anything and nickel and dimeing guests to death is unpleasant. I will return to The Princess.

Hotel's Favourite
I will start by saying that the Arizona Biltmore is my favorite hotel. I’ve stayed here a few times and reviewed it a few years ago. The (reported) $70 million overhaul has brought a few new features but the architecture and the impeccable service are still what I carried home with me from this stay. Alex at the front desk welcomed me back to the hotel and was able to get me into an amazing room even though I showed up a little before my check in time. I had a quiet balcony with a view of the new sprite installation outside the garden wing. Room: very clean. Shower pressure: 👍🏼. Bed: comfortable. I ate dinner at Frank and Albert’s. Had the Thai Noodle salad. Delicious, loved the noodles and mint. My server Joshua was conscientious and enthusiastic. After dinner I walked the grounds and took pictures and texted photos to my friends saying “I bet you wish you were here.” Somehow the team in charge of this renovation has made it very modern but with an ever present awareness of honoring the history of the property. Also, the signature scent that is piped into lobby and halls of the separate buildings is as familiar and welcoming as the people who work there. Every time I HOPE that a signature candle or room spray will be available for purchase in the gift shop. (Well curated gift shop, I might add.) In summary, I had a great time (obviously) and will continue to recommend the Biltmore to my friends.

I have stayed at a number of the top hotels in this area before including this one with my last stay here at the Biltmore just over a decade ago. Not a cheap option but Hotel is steeped in history and still retains much of its Art Deco charm. There have also been some significant improvements during this time as well like the main outdoor central bar which is a great addition. Staff are very attentive and friendly and the check in process was painless. Communal areas are very upscale and there are a number of bars/ restaurants on site although If I am being honest I was a little bit disappointed with the limited restaurant choice as in my view the hotel could do with an additional upscale alternative to the Mexican/tapas restaurant that they currently have. As for my room whilst it didn’t take my breath away it was nice enough, very spacious and well maintained. The only real downside was that my room which was in the Oscatilla block overlooked some serious renovation work that is currently going on in the adjacent building block. So there was no real view to talk about other than a building site which also unfortunately generated plenty of drilling noises during the day meaning no afternoon naps were possible for me. As a Hilton Honors member ordinarily would probably normally have complained and requested a room change. If I had brought my partner along with me on this trip I would have done but as it was just me and I had a busy schedule I let it go. Overall an enjoyable stay but Phoenix is littered with so many other top class hotels the competition is high so I’m not quite sure whether the Biltmore is currently in that top top category. Will I am sure stay again at some point but probably not the next time I am in town.

Okay it was 111 in the shade. Crazy. Staff was extremely friendly. Rooms were nice. The Citrus Room for drinks and snacks were outstanding. The price was fair. We went the opposite on Labor Day. We live in San Diego where the tourists were. We tried a tip from a friend and tried Phoenix. She was right. No tension, easy traffic and a chance to relax.

We really enjoyed the food at McArthur's. We did not try Renata's Hearth. Service was very good. Water slides were okay; the lower ones seem like a longer ride, but they are also slower. The upper one is very fast but only lasts about 6 seconds. Swim-up is nice, but it isn't actually right at the bar. My first use of Amex FHR. Seemed like a good deal. The daily rate was $292 before any taxes and fees. After the Amex credits, our one night stay was about $228 in total. This included lunch, appetizers, breakfast, room service snack, lunch grab n go, and drinks. My spouse also got a massage. For what it's worth, without the credits it would have been $860. Early check-in (noon) and late check-out (4pm) makes it seem like a two day stay.

This place has so much rich history and the recent renovation is tremendous. You feel like you’re stepping back in time but still have all the modern amenities and luxuries you’re used to. A truly special place. Love the Catalina pool and fitness center. In room dining was amazing as was the café and McArthurs. Can’t wait to come back!

I stayed in the Bourgenvilla area of the hotel, a resort room. Another review said the room was dated and at the time I thought that this wasn't a valid complaint since it's a historic property. Well, the room's decor was very nineties except for some pieces awkwardly hung below eye level. There were many stains on the carpet and there is nothing stocked in the refrigerator, not even water. The balcony is also not private, it is shared with the next room. The room we stayed in probably had not been used in quite some time, the toilet had black mold built up in the bowl. The room also does not have a smart TV or adapter, so overall the room needs to be updated. What was made clear to me was that booking using a third party is more difficult for them. I understand that, however Hilton does not accept my rewards points and I shouldn't be hounded to sign up for Hilton's loyalty program, all I want to do is relax. I pointed out the toilet and the lack of water in the room and they did send water to the room, there is no ice machine so Room Service needs to bring ice. I checked out early because it wasn't a comfortable stay and the front desk agent didn't even ask why we left early. When I told her, she remarked that I should have complained harder. I paid close to the same amount of the stay in room charges and left, having paid the full amount of the stay already. After we got home, an automated text message explained how to check out. I replied that I had already checked out and why. A partial refund for the stay was approved then and they told me to go speak to the third party hotel booker. This of course took an hour of my time, they initially denied the refund had been approved, and it could have been handled at the front desk when I checked out. My husband and I are both artists and went to the hotel for the architecture. The main building itself and bars are great and the refurbishment they did there was pretty successful. All of the food was great and the service great as well. McArthur's was one of the best meals we had on our trip. I really wish this experience was better overall, the room was just a huge let down and I'm unsure why the particular front desk agent was so unhelpful, it could have turned around for us fairly easily.

So crowded, no chair at the pool by 10 am! Try room service they quote a 1.5 hour wait time (on 2 separate days) when you can get a hold of them. Rooms are just ok. The hotel is just too large and too understaffed. (The staff is very nice thought!) Just way too expensive for what you get.

Having visited the Biltmore 7 years ago for a cocktail on the patio, I have been dreaming of an extended stay ever since. My boyfriend and I enjoy traveling and rely heavily on others reviews when planning. In hopes to better help other travelers I am leaving this review as I have found the information on the revamped Biltmore to be lacking in detail. As I was booking for labor day weekend, I saw a few references to an exclusive club which offered some snacks and complimentary happy hour cocktails. The reviews peaked my curiosity and I didn't want to miss out on something and so made sure to book a citrus club room. The website for booking gave many varieties for citrus club rooms. The lounge has only been operating since Feb 2022. There was a club/lounge option prior to this reopening, and we were told it is much different then before. The actual building containing the lounge used to hold the only rooms with the lounge access, prior to the remodel. Now guests can choose from basically any style room and have the lounge as an add on. We have been here less than 24 hours and so much has happened. Arrived at 430, room was not ready. Citrus club members could go to lounge to wait for room. Sienna greeted us at the citrus club entrance, got our names and gave us a tour. 20 out of 10 for service. She was/is amazing. The lounge is open 6 am to 10 pm. The cocktails and beverages are complimentary for the entire 16 hours! I was shocked and extremely pleased at this hidden gem. They not only have some great options, but you can also take the drinks with you to wherever you want to go on the property. They will put on to go cups for you. Wine, beers, champagne, and liquors. Impressive. In addition to alcohol, they provided beverages to take with you or enjoy in the lounge. Fresh pressed juices and smoothies in bottles, pop, water, and sparkling waters. Did I mention a coffee bar? Cappuccinos, lattes, etc. All included on the club. When we were in the lounge waiting for our room, the concierge/host told us not to worry about our room as she would keep an checking on it for us. At 5 pm they started placing food items in the buffet bar. They provided excellent cheeses, meats, veggies, chips, salsas, olives, and a variety of handheld bites. What a nice surprise after our travels. This made the wait for the room much more bearable. At 530 we were told our room was ready and the host contacted the bellman to have our luggage sent to our room. She gave us directions and our newly keyed room keys. Citrus club members have special cards to indicate you are part of the club. As ae left our lounge, we noticed the candy shelves by the door. Had to grab some snickers, peanut m&ms, reeses, and Twix for later, along with the large waters, diet coke, and beet juice for thr room. All rooms have mini fridges and so the chocolate can be kept cold with the drinks. It took us about 10 minutes to find our room as the numbering system is confusing at first. Upon arrival to room 3412, I was at first confused as to how a patio room can be located on the 4th floor. Opening the doors to the outside area, it turned out to be a shared balcony. I specifically did not want a shared balcony after reading many reviews. We also wanted to not have to spend extra time using elevators or stairs to get to our room. We very much enjoy outdoor space and so when I booked the room I had researched many reviews to see what was available and what was recommended. One of the options when booking was a lovely first floor room with a patioand fire pit. However, these were located adjacent to the paradise pool. Pro was you could walk off the patio to pool, con was you were near lively music and people (if trying to get rest). So, we opted to book the regular resort king room with citrus club and patio. So when we discovered our room did not have a patio, I was very disappointed and called the front desk. The agent stated that all of the rooms that said patio were actually patio/balcony and it should have said that when I made the booking. I told her that I did not believe there was ever an option that we may end up with a balcony (since I specifically did not want the shared balcony). She looked in the system to see if we could be moved and said there were no patio rooms available as they were fully booked for this weekend. Feeling defeated I said thank you for checking and hung up the phone. My boyfriend asked what my confirmation said and I told him I was pretty certain it said patio or I would have done something much sooner. We both work very stressful jobs and so I spend time in between vacations, visualizing what I will be doing on my stress free days off (vacation) and making sure that everything will be peaceful upon leaving the office. I truthfully didn't want to even check my emails since it may lead to having to work while on vacation. But, I checked anyway just to reconfirm what my email confirmation from the Hilton Biltmore said. Aha! It did clearly state citrus club king patio. No mention of balcony possibility. I then went onto their website to see how it was advertised when I booked, just to make sure I hadn't been re-imagining my experience. Aha, again! Booking site clearly states citrus club king patio, again, no mention of balcony. So we left our bags in our room and headed back to the front desk. It was now 6 pm and out dinner reservations at Renatas was st 630. My boyfriend went to the restaurant to reschedule for a later time, and they were very accommodating. At the front desk, the first agent assisted and asked to see my confirmation. When she saw what I had received, she immediately brought in the manager and they were both apologetic and it was clear they were going to try and find a way to make it okay for us, even if there were no patio rooms available. She was very forthright and honest and said that the rooms with the regular patios were actually still under improvement construction and should not have been an option at this time. She asked if offering us a cottage with a patio would satisfy our needs. A cottage?! Omg! Of course, that would be more than acceptable and I was extremely appreciative that they did the right thing and offered this upgrade. I knew the cottages from my research and had wanted to book one, but it was just not worth the extra cost at the time, since I knew we would not be spending much time in the room, as we would be at the pool or having cocktails on our patio. Upon arrival at the cottage, just seeing the nice patio with a peaceful garden view, I was happy. The room is spacious with a couch, chair, king bed, and large bathroom. Corner picture floor to ceiling window. Feels like a nice studio with minimalist modern furniture. A nepresso coffee maker, and a smeg heated water pot. Cute coffee and tea cups/saucers and plenty of tables and seating. Missing are places to store your clothing, but that is okay. There is a luggage rack so you can use your suitcase for your dresser. I also improvised and used a large table for my clothing storage. The bathroom is a good size with double sinks and a large shower, big enough for 2 (at least). The toilet is in its own room with a fan. Excellent amenity. The toilet paper holder has a ledge where you can set your phone. Great idea! The lighting is just right and there are outlets and switches next to each side of the bed, with bedside tables on each side. Drawers large enough for some of the clothing I had mentioned earlier. So dinner at Renatas was great! We were not extremely hungry since we had snacked at the club, but the server did not push us and was perfectly attentive. We enjoyed 3 different margaritas, Peruvian rice (delicious), guacamole, ceviche, oysters, and Caesar salad. The only complaint was we don't particularly enjoy cutting up our own lettuce when enjoying a salad. They serve the Romain leaves intact and so it is a bit of a chore to cut up. I enjoyed the different flavors if everything we tried, and we are headed back on Saturday night and will have more of a family meal when our friends join us. The brisket has been hyped as a must-try. Wow. A 6000 plus word review and we have only been here 1 night. More to come as we explore the resort today. The club comes with access to the spa! This can be purchased separately at 65 for a day pass, or it is free if you pay for a treatment. Fitness center is 24 hours and looks fantastic, with new equipment options. They even have complimentary Earphones for your use so you can enjoy your music while using the machines or the optional programs on the Peltons. I was pleased to see more complimentary water at the fitness center And water available to refill water bottles.

I recently had a wonderful stay at a newly renovated cottage with fire pit! The large, beautifully tiled bathroom was a pleasure. The bed and linens were divine! The couch and sitting area was restful. The patio was too hot during my visit but I’m sure at other times of the year it would be delightful! Heather from room service ( on her bike!) was cheerful, thoughtful and efficient! She delivered ice and other goodies to my room. She was an excellent ambassador for the hotel. I enjoyed the bath amenities. I enjoyed the in room coffee and surprising cups! So pretty. The adult pool was were I spent the majority of my time. Having pool access 24 hours a day was terrific! I’m an early riser and going to the pool early was terrific. The shade, the loungers, the towels, the umbrellas and spaciousness around the pool were so enjoyable!
