We stayed from 9/23-9/27 in an agave suite. I honestly don’t know how this place has so many negative reviews. You can’t get a motel in this price point and expect a 6 star resort. We LOVED our time here. The River Ranch (water park) is so much fun! The slide was closed for maintenance so we didn’t get to try it but the lazy river is so much fun. We ate lunch and breakfast at hole in the wall and I don’t recommend it, it was okay but it’s expensive (as is all food in Arizona). We had nachos from the pool bar and they were delicious! I would eat there instead of the restaurant. Our room was clean, but smelled of cigarettes. It wasn’t unbearable and they upgraded us to a poolside suite so we didn’t change rooms. There are minor stains on the carpet and couches but it is an older resort and I feel that’s to be expected. The bed and pillows were great, the hide-a-bed wasn’t very comfy, I don’t recommend adults sleeping on it. Overall we had a fantastic stay. I definitely recommend, the good far outweighs the bad. We will be back in the future!

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed 8/16 to 8/20 2021 and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We wanted to hang out by the pool and literally across from our "Pool Suite" was the entrance to the pool area. The cushions on the chair lounges were very comfortable, my wife's back problem didn't bother her at the pool at all. Maurice at the front desk, and Helen at the Hole in the Wall Restaurant were great. Definite on our list to stay again.

Lovely property but old and shows it in several ways. Linens not quite white, our hide-a-bed broken. Good place for group events. We had a basic room/suite, room 2214 - good location. Roomy, comfy, shower over tub. Check-in easy, George and Billy provided excellent guiding and transporting. Suggest you not eat at Hole in the Wall - not even average bbq.

This hotel is so ran down, dirty and disgusting. Our sweet smelled bad and was gross with broken things. The so called “lazy river” was stagnant dirty water that didn’t actually flow around. Even my kids thought it was dirty and gross. We were there for a family staycation for two nights and had to go complain after barely making it through the first night and we left to another resort. Nothing was even open there was literally nothing to do and no info about closures on their website to even warn you. We went to enjoy the so called water park and relax and it was non existent. Do not waste your time or money.

The grounds were beautiful and this hotel as great potential. All the pools needs to be resurfaced. All the rooms face outside which I wasn’t aware of. I was upgraded to suite which was nicer. Restaurant smelled alittle funny but didn’t eat there.

If you are reading the reviews then read wisely. I normally do not write reviews but this Resort leaves me no choice as I have to warn potential travelers. Stay far away from here. The pictures online are old. Everything but one restaurant is closed on site. The pandemic has taken its toll on this property We love Hiltons but this resort is NOT a resort it is a glorified Motel 6. Pandemic has stopped the dollar flow and no money has been spent to upgrade this place. Sad that it bears the Hilton name. I do agree that the staff is friendly as all Hiltons have wonderful employees but that is the only thing going for this dump. Upon turning into the parking lot we thought hmmmm. Only got worse. As others said…. Our first room smelled. Our second room was better(smelled less) but the carpet, couches and chairs looked like they came from a college frat house. Onto the water park…… hard to see in as it is boarded up for privacy….I think not! It is fence boarded do no one sees how dilapidated it is inside! The resort fee says you save $15.95 admittance fee. They should pay you go and swim inside! We walked in and immediately saw that the water slide and part of the park was shut down. There was dirt and rocks in the slide pool that looked like it was there for years. Construction tape blocked off access and it looked horrible. We sauntered over to the pool and lazy pool area to check if out…..DIRTY water….and large amounts of tiles missing from the top of pool area. Very dangerous as the exposed sharp concrete could very much cut you. It only got better….. looking gif pool chairs we struggled finding s good one because most had bird poop stains on them that were there for quite awhile. Never cleaned down…..we could not believe this water park was the same as in the pictures on the website!!! We joked that we were at Wally World!! This is no joke……this is NOT a resort this is s motel!!! After dinner at the Hole in the Wall restaurant(only open facility here) we joked how it was amply named for the hotel…..burger place at best, nice staff but again NOT a Hilton resort restaurant. We went to room and searched the Hilton Ap for other hotels because this was a 5 day stay and NO way were we staying here!!!! I went to lobby to discuss leaving and had to come back next morning to talk to manager so we had to spend one night here. We took shifts sleeping that night(joke)…..funny thing, the bed was very comfortable so there is the plus!!! Next morning we were able to check out and our points were given back( points stay) Staff member was VERY nice and apologetic that we were unhappy and was going to talk to her manager about my 120% unhappiness and their 100% guarantee or your money back(or my points). I still have not seen any points back in my account but I will give them a week as I do understand the process. We then moved to The DoubleTree Resort in Scottsdale(15 minutes away) night and day difference!! This is a Hilton resort!!! Cost me mega points more due to fact I lost the stay 4 nights get 5th free bonus. CLOSE the Peak and stop taking money from your loyal Hilton Honor members! The entire facility needs to be razed and built from scratch. Wally World needs to closed and torn down. Do that or put it up for land sale. The only reason we originally wanted to stay here was the pictures of the pools were spectacular. The Cleveland Browns Backers Bar (Gallaghers) also is down the street and tomorrow is opening day as well do this side of town was preferred!!! Shame on you Hilton, twice on our trip out West you struck out!!! Good thing the Doubletree came through big time.

Terrible. Did not even get to stay. The suite we were given was smokey and smelled moldy and like mildew. Straight nicotine and funk. No one gave a damn and no management or staff even tried to resolve the issue. We had to cancel and it ruined our labor day weekend. Thank you Hilton.

Special shout out to Mike at the front desk. I arrived in an anxious and tired manner due to my child’s condition who is being attended to at the Mayo clinic. Mike went above and beyond to make sure that my stay would be comfortable and exceed my expectations. Mike is one of those special individuals who can ‘read’ a person and help to calm them. Hold on to this guy!! He is a great asset to this hotel! I then went to eat dinner at the HOLE IN THE WALL restaurant on the premises. The food was delicious, but the bartender (Ryan) was even more wonderful. He was always very attentive and He made the best’ Chilton’ this side of New Mexico. Great rooms plus great service. I highly recommend the Hilton at the Peek in Phoenix Arizona.

Really wish I had read the reviews before staying. I saw the River Park and thought what a great place to take kids. WRONG! Started with Our room not being ready at 4pm check in. Waited until close to 5. Staff was not friendly, made me feel like I was wrong for expecting my room to be ready. Staff in lobby store were sweet and free popcorn helped pass the time. Room was just not what you would expect from a Hilton, yes outdated and old, but it was not just that. It was stained carpets , stained Couch, and Smelled of cigarettes. Towels are old, sheets were clean, but old. River Park had little to No Shade, rented a cabana that was old too but better than nothing. Hole in the Wall restaurant was great! Fast service, very friendly but who cares if the resort was awful. Checked out and had a pet service charge on my receipt. I called to have them remove it and was told they heard barking coming from my rooms direction and put me on a really long hold then removed it. By the way i had NO PETS. Hilton should remove their name from this so called resort. Rooms should be cheaper!!!! Stayed on the first floor #2150.
