The Heller House, one of Jackie's places in Paradise, is a great getaway. The house is smaller than the George Walker House and has been completely remodeled. It's nicely appointed and quite comfortable. Everything you need to make your meals is provided except the mains. It was very clean when we arrived and there were plenty of towels and other...

If you're looking for a place that's REALLY quiet at night, this is it. The owner, Jackie, will give you a warm welcome and introduce you to her friendly dog, Bojangles. Then spend some time watching the feeders. We stayed in the new Heller House, which is very private and a bit further down the driveway where no other vehicles...

Don't miss this educational and unique opportunity! A volunteer group gathers together 2 Saturdays a month to ID band hummingbirds to track their migration patterns. Contact George Walker house for the specific schedule. This is a super interesting process as they are measured in many ways, weighed, etc. Google hummingbird banding for more detailed info.

If you're looking for a beautiful tranquil spot off the beaten path to enjoy the delights of nature, this is the place. The 100+ year old home is clean and perfectly appointed, with everything from basic food supplies to laundry. During the day you will be treated to the beautiful birds of the Chiricahua mountains, as well as the host,...

Located in the small village of Paradise, AZ, the George Walker Guest House is, to say the least, off of the beaten path. Paradise is 16 miles west of Rodeo, New Mexico, and about 5 miles west of Portal, AZ, along a gravel forest service road in the Chiricahua Mountains and is an old almost ghost town. Silver was discovered...

We'll always love saying we were married in Paradise. We've stayed at the George Walker House house numerous times in the past. It's definitely 'off the beaten path'. There is great bird and bat watching right from the porch of George Walker House, plus the opportunity to observe (and possibly assist in) the banding of hummingbirds!, which happens every other...

This charming little cottage is reliably the best place to relax and unwind. No traffic noise, no motorcycyles screaming down the highway, no airplane noise! Our 7 year old granddaughter begs to come back again and again to explore, watch wildlife (particularly birds), participate in hummingbird banding, look for rocks and generally just hang out. the house has all of...

Far from the maddening crowd in the remote Chiricahua Mtns in SE Arizona lies the old mining community of Paradise and paradise it certainly is. Within this small community you will find a B&B called the George Walker house. Over a hundred years old but clean and comfortable and right in the middle of world class birding/wildlife observation and scenery...

I will try to say what others have not. My family loves the George Walker House. Even my teenagers can't wait to visit each year. There are no phones or cable TV, yet there is never a shortage of things to do. For those who prefer doing nothing at all, this is a peaceful place to relax and unwind. The...

Every reviewer say five stars, and for some reason the tripadvisor site says four. This place is definitely 5 stars. This humble looking house is great inside - well decorated, clean, with all of the amenities. It has a complete kitchen with most food you will need (except perishables) as well as spices, full size stove and refrigerator, etc. There...
