Spent two nights and really enjoyed our stay. New owners Darren and Liz were top notch hosts and the food was excellent. Common area had a pool table, shuffle board and comfortable seating with a nice flat screen TV. Rooms have small refrigerator, microwave and tableware if you want to have an evening snack or stay in for a light...

Privacy...down a dirt road to your Arizona desert getaway. You'll be well taken care of....breakfasts to start the day off fabulously, great advice on area activities and local hints like You'll Never Believe where the best local Fried Chicken Place is....I worked on my pool game for awhile, enjoying local music like Calexico in the huge community room. Check out...

Everything one hopes for in a B&B: gorgeous accommodations; beautiful grounds and surroundings; lovely hosts - Down by the River B&B has it all. I have stayed in hundreds of B&Bs both in the U.S. and Europe and this is the best in my experience. It is a gem tucked away from traffic, train noise and city lights in a...

Everything about this B&B was fabulous. New owners Darryn and Liz make you feel right at home. Great mix of antiques and modern accommodations. You cannot beat the wonderful breakfast!. This secluded location is great for bird and star watching. Never seen stars as bright as those we saw from the back patio. Darryn--Keep the cactus light on because we...

Close to anything you want to see, but remote. Only night noises were coyotes and owls. Decor is desert/Indian and is like being in a museum. Better than a family visit because you're not mad at anyone. Great place; I'll go back.

We can only echo all the wonderful reviews that others have written and say that this is by far the best B&B we have ever experienced. We stayed for two nights in the Bird Room and would have liked to linger longer - so there will have to be a next time! The breakfasts are fabulous and we like the...

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this B&B. After sampling some older B&Bs it was a treat and refreshing to go to one that was newer construction with all the modern amenities. It's a fun location for bird watching with a wide porch and feeders to attract the birds. Star gazing is also terrific there because it is out far...

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Down By the River. One of the best B&Bs we've ever been to....period! Our room (The Bird Room) was huge and decorated with all kinds of bird-themed items - quilts, bird houses, nests, plus old-time photos and antique compacts for powder and lipstick. Really charming. The super friendly innkeepers, Mike and Angie,...

I visited here with my 13 year old daughter in late March. Perfect weather. The place is *beautifully* built and decorated - with so many different antiques & objects. Fun to just look around. We walked down to the river & had fun wading upstream a ways. We had a fire in the patio fireplace & roasted marshmallows. We played...

When we decided to visit some places in southern Arizona, we stuck a pin in a map to find a place to stay. Down By The River Bed and Breakfast was conveniently located and we decided to take a chance. We were greeted by Mike and Angie and felt at home immediately. The B&B is like a museum with lots...
