With picturesque cacti, tumbleweeds and red clay ridges, the Sonoran Desert is filled with trails perfect for hiking and biking. But if cute shops and wineries are more your scene, you can trade in those hiking boots for cowboy boots and head on over to downtown Scottsdale, Arizona. Whatever you decide to do here, our nearby Scottsdale Resort is just the place to cool off from the heat. Grab a seat with a view as the kids have fun in our Splash Canyon water feature. Lounge with a cold drink by one of our four heated pools. And savor a Southwestern meal at our ArteZania Kitchen & Cantina. It's the perfect place to unwind after a day of family fun. Looking to up your golf game? You're in luck! Golf is one of the top things to do in Scottsdale, and our resort is near some fantastic golf courses. If shopping is more your speed, the eclectic Old Town Scottsdale has charming boutiques and great restaurants.

This was our second stay at this resort. A 2 bedroom room on the second floor. Just what we asked for. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well equipped. The 4 pools available are inviting and one is especially attractive for children. The grounds are well cared for and the service people are plentiful and very responsive.

I have paid for three free nights if I listened to their presentation over a year ago. They never told you the presentations are on certain days, that more often than not the resort is not available. When I called to try booking for my 4th time, Chris, the representative said I must book now while on the call or pay $380 more. At the beginning of the call an at other times, I told him that I must speak with my wife later. He did not respect this and demanded I book now. I did not give in to his pressure.

Fantastic place to stay in Scottsdale. Close to many activities. Beautiful property with 4 pools. Easy check in. The villa was spacious and clean. It had all of the basics covered. Soap for the washer and dishwasher, fully equipped kitchen. Bathroom was large with double sink vanity. Two porches. Bed was comfortable as were the chairs in the living room. Had a lovely stay and would recommend.

We stayed in a signature 2 bedroom villa. These are completely updated, full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a very comfortable roll out bed, very nice washer and dryer, xbox for kids. Best place we have stayed. They have 4 swimming pools, the waterfall pool right off the restaurant and gift shop and they play music, the social pool, the adult pool, which we did not see, and they pool with waterslides and lots of water features. The waterslide pool has lifeguards and they were all so great!! They interacted with the kids and were all so friendly. Now for the activities center, it is right off the waterslide pool, it has shuffleboard, ping pong, connect 4, pool table and board games, the fitness center is also of the activity center, very nice high quality equipment. The activity center has several signs posted kids not allowed under 16 without a parent but there are always those parents that think they dont have to go by the rules. This would be my 1 and only complaint about the resort, which is not the resorts fault, parents need to parent. Stacy and Mindy that work at the activity center are amazing and come up with wonderful activities for families. You can tell they love what they do!! All staff is amazing but these 2 really interact and love what they do. We will definitely be back!! You always have to deal with other travelers not watching their kids or leaving their trash where ever they want which is not the resorts fault so I am giving this place 5 stars!!

Check-in was a breeze. Room was exactly as described with no hiccups. Grounds were maintained and everything looks clean! Parking was always plentiful. Now to the “But”…. We specifically chose this hotel due to the water slides. But when the water slides were closed for the last 2 days of our stay and there was no type of compensation offered because it was “unforeseen circumstances”.. I have a problem with that.

This was a great place to stay! Our third floor, 2 bedroom unit was clean, spacious and very close to the water park. The place was VERY busy on Saturday and Sunday. The pools were busy. Monday and Tuesday, there were fewer people which made it more enjoyable. Our favourite was the waterfall pool. We met several families from different states and our daughter had many children to play with. The grounds were well maintained and the staff were very friendly! We loved having a full kitchen and washer/ dryer in the room. The dryer wasn’t the best, needing a few runs to get the clothes dried but it was manageable. The area is fantastic with car. Lots of shops, restaurants, grocery stores nearby, including our favourite Trader Joe’s and Target. Thank you for a great place to stay in Scottsdale with mini water park!

The resort is nice, rooms are spacious and it offers 4 separate pools. It was nice there was one pool that was adults-only, as the other pools were nuts, way over crowded. My biggest complaint is the walls and floor are paper thin, you can hear everything!! It literally sounded like a circus above us. Pool party got a bit a much on the weekend as booze and marijuana was freely consumed.

My husband and I are timeshare owners and have been limited in our travels since we care for my 90-year-old mother who is on dialysis three times a week. We live in Avondale, AZ, and Scottsdale is close enough for a staycation. We were able to schedule her dialysis at a sister center, so I booked 10 days at Holiday Inn Vacation Club in Scottsdale. I am not sure I will ever book there again, largely due to the lack of sleep, during quiet hours. We were on the first floor (there are no elevators) and I thought the eight steps down would be easier for my mother to maneuver. Bad choice. We were able to hear every step of the second-floor occupants (three different ones over the 10 days), most days starting at 6am or earlier, and going on until 11-12 pm. This was constant as long as the unit was occupied. It appears the children, or it could have been adults, ran from one end of the unit to the other with no consideration of the disturbance they were creating below them. I called the front desk and asked them to please ask the occupants to take it easy, and their only question was, “Was this during quiet time” (which is 10p-8a) and I responded yes. They claimed they would ask them to quiet down. Needless to say, it didn’t happen for 9 days. I wish the resort would spend as much time asking occupants to refrain from running and stomping in their units as they do in telling you they will charge you $25 for any towels missing from your unit. I was disappointed in the main bedroom that only had one nightstand and one lamp on that nightstand. I don’t think I can remember ever being in a timeshare or hotel that did not have a nightstand and lamp on both sides of the bed. I had to use my suitcase as a nightstand just to put my bottled water, phone and kindle within reach and not on the floor. The night before we checked out, I actually had to put them on the floor since I had to pack. The air conditioner is outside the second bedroom and was so loud it was hard for my mother to sleep. I called to asked them to please check it on the first day and was promised an engineer would be sent to take a look. No one ever showed up that day. We think they came into the unit the next day while we were out because upon our return, there were lights on that were not on when we left. My mother noticed the rattle was gone so we assumed an engineer showed up and tightened things up. This is not an issue, but in our experience if a unit is entered while the occupants are out, there is typically a note that is visible someone entered the unit. There was no such note, and the front desk never checked to see if there was still an issue. I don’t know about you, but when my towels get dingy and start to get threadbare, they are thrown in the pile of cleaning rags. Well, the towels are dingy, and we had one that had a rip large enough to put our hands through. Thankfully there was a washer and dryer in the unit, and I laundered our towels, and they were fluffer and a little whiter. I don’t know who does their laundry service, but they should reevaluate them. I started this by indicating I wasn’t sure I would ever book here again, but I am sure now I will not book here again.

We love this resort! It is a hidden Gem tucked behind the Princess resort. It has a fun splash pad for kids and fun waterslide. A nice looking restaurant, but we didn't get a chance to try it-however they were very helpful with some mayo we needed(we cook in our kitchen in the room) All the staff are friendly and very helpful. Marisol the manager was very pleasant and helpful when I called needing info. Anytime we need anything the staff was quickly there to help. We had trouble with the remote a couple of times and Tim and Mohamad were always there to the rescue with a great attitude! The girls at the front desk were kind to let us use some tape we needed for birthday balloons! It's the little things that make a difference. The rooms are large and spacious and very clean. Finally I need to give a much needed shout out to Mindy the activity coordinator. She was the sweetest ,caring lady to my grandkids. She gave them personal attention above and beyond duty with such a great attitude in helping them finish their brackets before we had to check out and rush home for an unexpected reason. Mindy could have been too busy to take the time to help them finish their craft project-it was going to be what they remembered this trip by-and her wonderful attitude made it happen before we left. That kind of customer service seems rare nowadays, but is so refreshing and appreciated!

I wanted to like this place but I think Im just spoiled to Hilton and they seem to be more caring about their customers. This place has a Holiday Inn label but is really private condos that you’re renting. Check in is at 4. This place is out in the middle of nowhere with nothing restaurant (not resort) or gas wise close to it. We got there and checked in. I asked on my reservation for a first floor room. 2kids have prior broken knees within 3 months so wanted first floor room. That was not honored. Then we’re on a cross country road trip and have a large cooler and 6 people with medical bags and regular luggage. That’s a lot of stuff to carry up the stairs that you dont want to use because this place has no elevator either. Then I was charged a $110 incidental hold which seemed excessive to me. Got into the room, the bathroom floors needed sweeping, hair in shower wall, towels with pubic hair in them, beds were clean and hair free. We looked at the activity sheet and I saw that there is no towel refreshing or cleaning unless you pay a fee or stay 10 days. Activities for kids here are limited but my daughter wanted to do them but by 4 they had already closed for the day and that was disappointing to her. Check out is at 10 and we were leaving so she couldnt use them. We went to the pool and the pictures show a massive pool with 2 slides. You cant use that pool or even stick our feet in and watch your kids because its only for slide use. It was a lot of wasted pool space. The other pool is a baby pool and you cant see your kids from one pool to the other. The side of the slide pool where you can see the kids at the slide is so small that the kids are all crammed in there and there is not much room to move. Other pools are here but they’re 21 and up or just a plain pool which is boring to kids. Came back to dry swimsuits and towels. Dryer ran but I couldnt get my towel or shirt dry. Went to the restaurant on sight and would you Believe that at an overpriced restaurant that served Sams quality chicken strips for $15 and a piece of chocolate cake for $10/slice, I couldn’t even get a glass of plain ice tea because that is not served anywhere in this place? Seriously what kind of resort does not have plain ice tea?? Went to the marketplace for grab and go food items and they’re closed on Monday & Tuesday..why is that? We’re not supposed to need anything Monday & Tuesday I guess. Went to get ice from the one ice machine on the map for the whole property and theres no ice bucket in room but also no ice in the machine. Went to take showers and get to bed, but ac is loud and hot when not blowing, comfortable when it is blowing. However we never slept because the slides shut at 7 and then they open up that pool area to all and you could here kids screaming until after 10.. like so loud my kids who sleep thru everything couldn’t sleep. I went to the app to check out and you cant do that there, unlike Hiltons app. Tried to call front desk and could find no number on my reservation or my paperwork. It has potential but it needs a good look at issues to make it work as it should.
