Very cozy- could use a couple updates, but overall a nice stay. It was nice to be able to have drinks right at the hotel. The staff was very helpful and the shuttle service to various hikes was very convenient.
We decided to add Sedona, AZ to our recent road trip and we weren’t disappointed, the area was spectacular as were all the hiking trails. We stayed at Sky Rock Sedona and had an amazing stay; the location has flawless views and a staff that is the best. We recommend a room that faces the mountains, the sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking. Watching the sunset as you sit on the balcony and enjoying their happy hour is a memorable experience, we highly recommend trying Eric’s Tacos.
Cute place! Somewhat updated but pictures are deceiving. The hotel doors face the parking lot and ours was disjointed at top and bottom so we had light coming through ours. The bathrooms are teeny tiny and in need of some love. The tub was dirty from old water stains, I hope. The bed was too soft and the pillows were made from lots of individual pieces of foam. Ugh! I think this used to be an old Best Western and now a Marriott. The price was high for what it was and they charge an extra $29/night fee which you can order drinks at the bar and sit on the patio in exchange but … they said that price you’d receive a healing rock as well but that didn’t happen! I feel so unhealed. Great views all around and service at front desk was good but still needs a little polishing at the price point!…
wall needed to repair we had water leek the view was of trash bin !!!was over expensive the stuff were unfriendly no food to buy in the lobby ' its more like 2 star motel for the price of luxury hotel DO NOT GO THERE!!!
Have called a couple of times to the main line for the hotel. The "phone tree" has a variety of options, none of which lead to a human other than a reservations agent at the national reservations line. Have left messages at the concierge desk, but none were returned. Am planning a trip to Sedona & have heard there are renovations planned. We do not want to stay there during construction. And from reading other reviews it appears we do not want to stay there before the property is renovated.
Wow beautiful pictures on the website and it truly does have some good views in a few rooms. I paid for a view room and got a 3 X 6 window view of my car and the street. We were able to see some of the red rocks if we sat on the bed. We paid $445.00 for an upgraded motel 6 room. It truly needs some deferred maintenance in the room. The carpet was torn and the walls needed to be repainted along with a torn bed cover. There was no hotel directory in the room and the TV didn’t work. Other then that the place was real nice. Too say the least we will probably not stay there again.
My husband and I stayed here for three nights for a quick romantic getaway. The positives — the hotel is in a great location. Parking was always available. The views outside are beautiful. The gentleman running the stargazing program was by far the highlight of the hotel experience. The downside - We stayed in a standard room on the ground floor. The online photos are very deceiving. The room was quite dated — carpet was stained, paint peeling from the bathroom ceiling, holes in ceiling above bed. There is no view from inside the rooms. They tell you when checking in that you need to step outside your room to see anything. Shampoo, conditioner , and body soap are in dispensers in the shower, but were never refilled, even upon request. There is also a $30 fee per day resort fee. The woman at the front desk told us it was like a credit. So, if we got drinks or food from the bar, it would debit it from that $30. It sounds great, but prices are high ($14 plain bagel, $18 for a 6oz pour of wine). We’re in no way food snobs, but the food wasn’t any good. For reference, there’s no room service and no microwave in the room. Also, in order to get to a majority of the rooms, you need to walk down two flights of stairs. Overall, it just wasn’t worth the price we paid considering the level of service and the quality of the room.…
Items went missing out of the closet in our room (boots and Native American gifts we spent hours looking for). We notified the hotel as soon as we noticed, The hotel said they would tell the manager. We never heard from them. The next day, we asked that they call the housekeeping manager and call us back whether they found the items or not. We Never heard from them. The utter lack of empathy and no communication is astonishing. WILL NOT stay here again. Also, they charge a $29 'resort fee' per day which can only be used at the hotel. They charge this whether you use it or not. I understand that our items are gone for good, but it would be nice if they cared enough to do what they promised and follow up with us after asking TWICE for items that went missing. This place relies on its views, but frankly you can get that in many other places in Sedona. Book somewhere else.…
First let me start off by saying I am about 3 nights short of becoming Marriott Platinum. Marriott is Always my 1st choice. I never post reviews unless I am absolutely livid and today I am just that. I woke up to no hot water for the third day in a row. We checked in to the Sky Rock Marriott and asked if there were any upgrades available, as we are entitled to one, if one is available. The front desk rudely told me no, due to the fact, that the hotel was at full capacity. That’s fine and I understand it, but I at least thought that the hotel would give me a DECENT room considering our Marriott status. Well they didn’t. Our room is (we are still here, but not for long) not the same room depicted in the hotel photographs. The photos don’t show the stains on the ceiling, the ripped carpet, the stained bath-tub etc. Most importantly NO HOT WATER for 3 days. Yes, 3 days. We gave the hotel the benefit of doubt that they would have it fixed sooner rather than later. Well going on 4 days, i would consider that the later. YES the views are spectacular, but there are too many hotel choices in the area at the same or less price If you need a washer or dryer forget it, they don’t have one. The front desk clerk rudely told us that as well. You would think she would have at least told us where we could go, but no she didn’t On a positive note, the maids and outside staff were great. They were friendly and apologetic for something they had no control over.…
Amazing property! The Sky Rock has amazing views, a wonderful lounge with great food, drinks and live music. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Ours has a propane fireplace and back door to a patio to watch the sunsets. Staff was wonderful. Parking and shuttle service to Uptown is complimentary. Fantastic stay and highly recommend.
