Tucked perfectly in the upper Sedona Plateau, we're just a five-minute drive from the airport and Sedona's busy city center. Popular hiking trails like Cathedral Rock and Devil's Bridge are within a 10-minute drive. Choose from studios and suites with fully-equipped kitchen and separate living/dining area.
Great rooms and nice location. The only thing keeping it from a 5 is the cell phone and WiFi is poor. But if you're going to Sedona you should going somewhere to look at the scenery and not be stuck in the room with poor cell and WiFi. So if you're going and plan on having a connection for work, you better call and ask for a building with good WiFi.
We really like this location; yes the buildings are a bit older but considering the last two years of pandemic and such....great service. Some of the ice machines weren't operational, but the staff were extremely helpful to get things done for us.
Been on the property same time last year, and was excited to learn at that time that Hilton was taking over Diamond resorts. Been with Diamond resort since 2013 Pros Nice location. Reasonable rooms. Cons The Room don't have wifi connectivity. Old style TV in the room cannot stream things like Netflix etc. Due to location of the property- phone reception is poor .For the same reason, your phone and mobile hotspot signals will be poor. WIFI is free but only in the lobby which could be a long walk from your room. First time, we had room phone note working, paint had fallen from the wall and was on dresser in the room , there was no comforter for our kids. MARCH 2022 we were told they are updating the facility and the wifi network- SAME ANSWERE THIS YEAR.
The rooms are spacious and the location is very convenient for hiking all the best trails in Sedona. My only concern was no Wi-Fi and poor cell service. I don’t usually contact to concierge but with no housekeeping services they encouraged guests to reach out with any issues. They’re response to the Wi-Fi was that there was Wi-Fi in the lobby. I would expect to have minimal service at a more rural resort but we have better service on some of the trails than at our hotel. As a single mom traveling with two kids this wasn’t ideal and I will most likely look at other options for our next stay in Sedona.
I found the staff rude at checkin. When I asked about restaurants and bars I was told a: that there were none, b: I should have looked at the website and c: I could go to the Marriott across the street. My room was clean, large, and immaculate. The building could use some TLC - which I did mention at checkout. Surprisingly, Sedona does not have Uber - which for a city loaded with bars and tourists - I found rather odd. Sadly, the hotel does not offer a shuttle to town either.
The front desk staff was not welcoming, especially considering my Hilton Diamond status. I was directed to the concierge desk where I was given a mini sales pitch, trying to get me to sign up to tour another Hilton location. I was very excited, given the location of the hotel with the views of the red rocks driving in. However, when I reached my room I realized I had been placed in possibly the worst location on the property in the building right next to a busy road with no views. Most Hilton locations make an effort for Diamond members to provide a preferential room. The room itself was rather dilapidated. The door when closed was not properly sealed. There was a gap with light and air coming through. The bathroom had a tile that was not bonded to the floor and the shower floor was peeling in multiple places. The TV was the smallest I've seen in any hotel in a decade. The only trash bin in the suite was in the bathroom next to the toilet. The toilet did not flush properly. I called guest services to address this and no one came. After about 3 hours, I ended up checking out before anyone showed up. I was charged a $40 resort fee per night, but I'm not sure what extra services that covers or what qualifies this property to be a resort, since there are no extra amenities or a breakfast. Without serious renovations and a bigger emphasis on guest service, I would not consider returning or recommending this property to anyone. I really wanted to like this hotel due to the location, but was left very disappointed. …
We just spent four nights at this resort and had a wonderful stay. We had a two bedroom unit which gave lots of space and provided a seperate area for our two sons (18 and 20). Based on previous reviews, I called a week ahead and requested a second floor unit with a view of the mountains. They accomodated our request and put us in building 22 which did have a nice view and was very convenient to the hot tubs. The room was a bit dated but very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. I would recommend more plates/cutlery as the dishwasher had to be used after every meal because of there was only 4 of each. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and although it was a pain to have to ask for maintence to light the bbq's everytime (the electric starts weren't working) they did come right away. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would definitely return. …
This was our second stay at Sedona Summit, but the first since it was acquired by Hilton Grand Vacations. We are Diamond owners, and were offered incentives to sit through an hour update, which we declined. There was a little pressure to commit, but once they figured out that we were not going to comply, they gave up, gave us our keys and sent us on our way. Our suite was located on the east side of the resort, building 27. It was classified as a "Mesa View" room. The first time we stayed here, we had a spectacular view of the red rocks facing toward the north and thoroughly enjoyed sitting on our balcony with a glass of something each evening, enjoying the quiet serenity of the desert. This time, our view was not quite as good, facing south, no red rocks, just a shrub covered mesa and occasional hot air balloons in the early mornings. But it was better than my sister's situation. My sister booked a "Sunset View" room on the west side of the resort, which cost quite a few more points. It was substantially smaller than our unit in terms of square footage and layout. They also were on the first floor, below the street level, and had no view at all except of the parking lot and the pool across the street (building 34). The best thing about their location was the strong WiFi signal. We also liked the bathroom in their unit better than ours. They had a much larger shower stall as well as a separate water closet for the toilet. The condos are nicely appointed and decorated and seem like they've been recently renovated. New wood floors and carpet/rugs, clean tile and new furnishings & decor. I wish they would add some throw pillows on the living room couch and chairs. The furniture is hard to sit on for long periods and pillows would make them more comfortable (I understand that most resorts don't use throw pillows because they are difficult to keep clean, but it would still be nice if they had them). The kitchen is full of all the items you need to cook meals, which we did all weekend. They also have a dishwasher and a stacked washer and dryer unit. The only things I would complain about were the TV reception and the WiFi (or lack thereof). The resort utilizes Dish network, which was spotty and pixelated at the best of times and non-existent at the worst. Worse still was the WiFi, which was non-existent. We had very little cell service and wanted to use the WiFi to make calls and use our apps. But we were never even able to find the resort WiFi networks on any of our devices from our room, so we had no connectivity at all for the entire weekend, unless we went to my sister's room on the other side of the resort to use their WiFi. This is a nice resort, outside the main hub of town, which provides for a quiet, peaceful stay (or would be if you don't have noisy neighbors next door or above, as we did). I gave it 4 stars because it really is a beautiful property with nicely appointed condos. I would have given a full 5 stars if they had smart TVs and better WiFi coverage. The resort could improve their entertainment by cancelling Dish network and installing smart TVs that allow guests to log into their own streaming services. They also need to upgrade their wireless access points, to allow all guests to have a reliable WiFi connection.…
Hilton has owned this property for over a year and it seemed like they have only changed the name out front. The WiFi name is still Diamond Resorts and is still as bad as it has always been. Same tired rooms with broken furniture and no updates. Crusty faucets in bath, stained marble sinks, and broken appliances in kitchen. And we werre across the street in what was a newer section of 27 year old resort that hasn't been updated since 2006.
We enjoyed our stay here. It was a large 1 bedroom suite. It was nice to have a full size kitchen and separate living area so we could enjoy during our 4 night stay. Ours had a patio and had a beautiful view. We always found parking close to our unit. I was glad I had read reviews beforehand to prepare for the Time-sharing sales pitch. My husband checked in that day after we had a very long journey to get there and knowing we had to get ready for dinner reservations, my husband cut the "clipboard guy" off immediately. When we arrived into the unit, I was a little disappointed in the dark lighting, and very dated furnishings/decor. But it was clean and we had a comfortable stay. I just assumed it being a Hilton property it would have a fresher look. I feel they are making their way to do updates. The first day we couldn't get the volume on the tv to work. And then noticed the bedroom tv had similar issues. We contacted the front desk around 4:30pm and really figured it would be at least the next day when someone would stop by. We were quite surprised when maintenance came while we were at dinner and left a message for us to call when we got back from dinner. We did and she immediately came by and figured a way to get the tvs to work. Now it was some finagling to do it each time we turned it on but we got the hang of it and appreciated the quick response. I would gladly stay here again. It was a very comfortable place to stay while we enjoyed beautiful Sedona!…
