It is a rare pleasure to enjoy a transcendent hotel experience such as we did at El Portal. We came without expectations, not...

Although a bit pricey, this place is worth it. We actually caught a sale price, and sometimes they offer on Groupon. Most of the places in Sedona are a bit pricey, but NONE are like the El Portal. With uniquely designed spacious rooms, fine linens, fireplaces, and a warm inviting atmosphere you feel right at home. So much at home...

This is an ideal hotel for couples. We were with in walking distance of restaurants and a luxury spa that allowed visitors to use their gym,spa and pool facilities for a fee. We were close to the 'main drag' of Sedona and could walk to the tourist laden sections if we wanted too. Left that for another visit. The Pink...

We stayed 4 nights after hiking the Grand Canyon. The place is very nice.Very relaxed environment and a great location.Really cool courtyard with nightly fire pit. Walking to really good restraunts within 100 yards or so. The owner is a really great guy and was very helpful. He was there every day. I get the idea he owns this place...

After a visit to the Grand Canyon, we headed south to Sedona. We booked the El Portal after plenty of research including YouTube videos. Being in such a beautiful location we opted not to stay in a "normal" hotel and booked the El Portal. We were not disappointed. Conversely the stay was so relaxing and comfortable (check out the You...

El Portal offers the personalized service of a B&B with the privacy of a hotel. The grounds are lovely. In the evening, enjoy the company of other guests by the fire pit or settle in at a romantic table for two. Close to hiking, shopping, and fine dining this beautiful site is the perfect home base for your trip to...

Came here for breakfast on a cool fall morning. Nice fire going. Good food but portions are large. My wife had pancakes and only ate one. Took the other two home and enjoyed them for a second time. My brother-in-law was also pleased with the bacon as well. This is a must place to eat in Sedona.

We only had one night in Sedona, and wanted something other than the chain hotel experience. It was a great place to stay after we finished the scenic Red Rocks Highway. Pros: Beautiful grounds, courtyard & distinctive rooms. The El Portal is within walking distance of restaurants, shops & galleries. The room we chose (#4) had a great soaker tub....
