Bottom line: Really nice property with comfortable beds and great water and red rock views. Details: My husband and I stayed two nights in Room 12 (early September). We were greeted with chocolates and two bottles of water in the room the first night. The room has a table with 2 chairs (great for playing cards), a fireplace, a reading chair, a very comfortable king bed, and a nice TV with a DVD player (there are many somewhat classic DVD's to borrow). The balcony has a small table and two chairs and a great view of Oak Creek and some of the red rock mountains. In these COVID times, I appreciated that the bed had sheets completely covering the blankets, and only a runner for decoration instead of a bedspread. The A/C unit is hung high up on the wall, so it seems unlikely that it would spread shared air into the unit, and it is very quiet. There are a couple things I need to mention: this is on the second floor, with only a staircase to get there. There is construction on the road in front of the Inn, so an early morning sit on the balcony for a cup of coffee right now is quite noisy. Tlaquepaque is visible from the balony, and their Monday morning maintenance was also noisy. None of that noise could be heard in the room. Even with the outside noise, the place is mesmerizing. Blue jays, vivid yellow and red birds, hummingbirds, fish surfacing to eat bugs on the water, ducks, and maybe even an otter sighting are great to focus your mind on relaxing. The other thing is that the tub is a bit difficult to get into for showering. If you are shorter than my 5'5", you'll be sitting on the edge and swinging your legs over into, and then back out of, the tub. There is a big lobby with a Keurig coffee/tea machine, and in the mornings there are individually wrapped bagels and flavored breads, granola and breakfast bars, fruit, juice and cereal. The kitchen area has a shared refrigerator with milk provided. A large balcony off the lobby, again with a view, is a nice place to enjoy the breakfast. A shopping center with quite a few restaurants is right across the road, as are a few galleries. We enjoyed the stay; it would have been nice to stay longer. We'll definitely have this place on our stay again list.

I am 75 & have been traveling for a long time. This is one of the top 5 places I have ever stayed in in the U.S. We stayed in the 2 story, 1500 square foot Oak Creek suite. The top floor is the living room & has an incredible gourmet kitchen with all Viking appliances & a bathroom. Both floors have 10 by 15 balconies with patio furniture. The lower level has a king bed, a very large walk-in closet, a large jetted tub, & a huge shower. This property is not to be missed. Even if the suite isn’t available, be sure to ask for a Creek side room.

I called to book a last-minute room for a surprise trip. We were blessed to get a room. We stayed in room 5 then room 1. Both rooms were beautifully appointed. They were cozy with each having a gas fireplace, small sitting area, balcony with talbe and chairs, jetted soaking tubs, ceiling fans, and the screened windows were able to be opened. Even thought room 1 was on first floor and at the base of the staircase, it was surprisingly very quiet. I have allergies to smoke and fragrances. I was very glad it is a smoke-free hotel and they don't use fragrances. (I wish more people would realize their perfume, scented lotion, colognes, etc., can cause others to have severe respiratory distress, hives, migraines, skin rashes, and even death.)
Kim is a most wonderful hostess. She was kind with my questions (especially regarding fragrance allergies). She is very kind, professional, and warm.
We hope to return soon, as soon as our work schedules allow.

My husband and I both loved our stay. We were in a top floor street-side room the first night and then moved to a creek-side top floor room. Both were fabulous. The street was definitely quieter at night. We didn't hear noise from other guests in either room, which we really appreciated.

The tables and chairs for eating breakfast outside above the creek are so nice, and there are additional seating areas down by the creek for relaxing.

We loved being walking distance to town, too.

This is one of our favorite places we have ever stayed (and we have traveled extensively around the world). We hope to return.

Loved our stay here! We felt very Covid safe. All staff and guests were wearing masks during our stay. (allowed to be removed while eating or sitting outside) All tables, even those outside were appropriately spaced. Plenty of hand sanitizer available. Housekeeping does not come into your room unless you ask them to. However, extra towels/soap/etc is available anytime. Breakfast was Covid friendly. All items were nicely spaced out and individually wrapped or boxed. Items were cold but top quality! (nice variety of small boxed cereal, individually wrapped excellent sweet bread slices, Chobani yogurt, Quaker Oat granola bars, Keurig cups, fresh fruit, juice, etc. Try the individually wrapped Bakery fig bars - amazing! A thought: how about providing clear disposable gloves next to the Keurig, juice and community fridge? A friendly good morning or hello from the breakfast servers would be nice. The manager/owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. The Bonus room was big enough for our needs and the bathroom was nice sized. Such a great value! The location of the Inn is awesome! Top notch restaurants and shopping a 5 minute walk or across the street. The outdoor deck is very nice with a great view. The patio below is relaxing! Fun swing & hammock with benches and chairs next to the creek. It is a nice, tranquil setting. Loved this Inn and hope to be back!

This Inn is like staying with family, but not having to sleep on the pullout couch! The rooms are gorgeous (we stayed in 2, so if you get an "unavailable for your dates" response online, contact them directly). Spotless, and the staff couldn't be more helpful including recommending and booking local tours for you. There is coffee/tea available 24 hours per day, and the continental breakfast includes hot/cold cereals, granola, fruit, toast, bagels, muffins, yogurt and all of the fixings! Lots of local galleries, shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Guests also have access to a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and outdoor BBQ! Would highly recommend this Inn.

Based on the reviews here and a recommendation from Frommer’s Arizona web page, I decided to book room 12 the evening before we arrived. This was our first trip to Sedona so I was clueless abut the layout of the town. It was after 7pm before we arrived and Kim had left our welcome letter and key in a conveniently placed box for late arrivals. We made our way up to the room and the stress of the day melted away. I enjoyed a glass of wine in the jetted tub (with fabulous toiletries) while my husband enjoyed a beer by the fireplace.

Our room was beautifully appointed, immaculate, warm, and romantic on a cold evening. All this for quite a reasonable rate!

We slept like royalty in the comfy king bed with wonderful sheets and pillows. Since we had arrived after dark, we had no idea what the view would be from our corner room with huge windows. At sunrise, we stood there in silence and marveled at the view (photo attached). Just amazing.

We enjoyed a nice continental breakfast and coffee from the Keurig and then returned to our room to sadly pack up and continue on our weekend adventure. We very nearly stayed another day here at this wonderful inn but kept with our original plans. This place is walking distance to so many shops, galleries and restaurants

I always stay at a certain brand of a big chain hotel but because I wanted a cozy and romantic place with a personal touch, I skipped the loyalty to the big brand and chose the Inn Above Oak Creek. So glad I did. We will come back, hopefully to room 12, the next time we visit Sedona.

Thank you, Kim and crew, for an unforgettable stay!

We spent one night at The Inn Above Oak Creek. Due to Covid-19 protocols, the hotel is not serving its normal breakfast, but did have a very nice selection of cereals, fruit, yogurt, bread, and drinks which was very nice. The location is breathtaking - views of the surrounding peaks and the creek are beautiful. Room was very comfortable - we stayed in a corner unit with great views, fireplace, jacuzzi tub, and comfortable bed. We would definitely return!

We stayed at the Inn a week ago with another couple. Our bedroom was not large
so we were thankful for the nice sitting areas downstairs by the fireplace or
outside on the terrace , to enjoy our morning coffee or evening wine and cheese.
The Inn provided use of the kitchen refrigerator and kitchen which we appreciated
as we had brought a lot of our own beverages and snacks. The rooms were serviced
daily ,everything was very tidy. Shopping was walking distance, also a number
of restaurants were close by. The manager gave us a courtesy call early in the
afternoon to let us know our room was ready if we wanted to check in early.
My only complaint by no fault of the Inn was the road construction outside
which started early as 6:30.
Would definitely recommend and stay here on our return trip to Sedona.

Went here for my birthday for a couple days with my boyfriend in early August. This place is so amazingly beautiful first off! The grounds are lovely and peaceful, you can hear the music from the village while sitting outside. I really enjoyed the cute balconies that each unit had, while still being pretty private while you sat on them. They also provided amazing views of the red rocks and Oak Creek!

My boyfriend really loved the room and so did I, we stayed in number 5, and I found it to be very cozy! The whirlpool tubs are a great edition to the rooms because after walking trails or around town they really help. The bed was comfortable and they provided enough pillows too, I loved the added fan to the room. The reading nook facing the creek is a nice space to sit and drink your coffee in the morning.

Also, this place is super quiet! I didn't hear anyone through the walls, and I never got woken up by any noises, it was very peaceful in the rooms.

Kimberly is a very nice and welcoming Inn keeper, she fills you in on all you need to know and is available if you need her for anything. I really liked the little continental breakfast accompanied by the bird feeders outside! I really recommend this place for a quiant stay with your kids or your spouse. The mornings and evenings are great to spend at this inn!

You can literally walk to shops, food, and the art village too. I found it amazing how private this place was while being super close to all the shops!

5 stars all the way for me!
