Liked the 2nd floor room/suite which included a gas fireplace and master bedroom plus another room with a pull-out couch bed. The view of the surrounding mountains and hills was terrific. BUT.... the inn is located on a very busy road so if your room is not towards the back of the inn expect plenty of traffic noise. And they could do a bit better job of maintaining the rooms as well. We had several burned out bulbs and the heater/AC units kept going on and off every minute or so even when they were turned off. Price we paid was OK. Glad the place is in West Sedona versus Uptown Sedona which from my observations is a crowded, noisy, traffic congested mess even in February. There were several good restaurants and grocery stores nearby and the location is conveniently situated near trails and other attractions. Oh and the offer breakfast each morning.…
Nice looking suite but lacking some things For the cost we had no microwave, bed not the most comfortable, free breakfast really not worth it, lacking many food items that you would find at any other hotel and coffee is weak. Clean nice place fireplace was nice to have but would not come back to this one for what it cost
They did not clean the room the entire 3 days we were there. We requested it but they still did not accommodate us. Breakfast is a packaged event. It was not terrible, but nothing freshly cooked. The jacuzzi would not heat up passed 94 degrees.
The room is comfortable but noisy. The Highway is right beside the hotel The staff at check in was snooty. Our early checkin for 1pm was confirmed but we had to wait until 3pm in the parking lot. Then we found out our room was actually ready at 1pm but Ms Snooty at the front desk never bothered to check. The mountain view is a gross exaggeration. You can see a mountain if you stand on one leg and squint. Won’t be coming back.
We recently returned from a trip to Sedona and spent our last night here. 4 nights were spent at another Inn which blew this place away. We only stayed here because our plans changed and we came back to Sedona for a final night before heading home the next day. Check in was easy once I was able to check in with the person at the front desk. I was told initially to use the kiosk that they have set up in the lobby. After a frustrating attempt the clerk who was present told me to wait until he could help me so I did. This kiosk should be removed for a more personal check in experience. I requested a room away from the street which is very busy. I tried to switch to an upper unit but there weren't available which was fine since we were leaving early in the morning. The unit was very tired. The AC was so loud we had to turn it off. Truthfully it was not a comfortable night here. This place is nothing more than a motel. We did not stay for breakfast. For the money we paid I wish we stayed elsewhere. Sedona is beautiful though.…
Location is good, however its a tired hotel and their pricing model is suspect. Its an old hotel with attempts to make southwestern and homesey... however it seemed a bit fake. Air Conditioner was loud and I could not get the deadbolt to lock. Linens were thin and furniture was old and worn out. Continental breakfast was poor with bagels/toast and other options were very limited. Hot food had to be microwaved from pre-packaged or frozen selections. I paid nearly 310 a night but on the day of check-in the room was going for $180 on line. I felt cheated. In the end you can do much better with a chain hotel.
Super comfy bed and even being near the main road, fabulous sleeps here barring the elephant upstairs! Very basic breakfast but coffee ok and a couple of good places within walking distance for better food. All in all, good value for money...
Rooms need to be updated! Very off putting feeling at this place, pool area unclean, unkempt, cobwebs and spiders on every single out door chair. Come on! It's Labor Day weekend, clean up pool area. Would never stay here again.
We stayed at SW Inn a few years back and it was wonderful, however this time we had cockroaches fall on us in the middle of the night. We were running around killing roaches during the night and had no other place to stay given the time. The staff let us leave the hotel early, but no substantial reimbursement for this inconvenience. Will NEVER stay at this unclean and nonchalant *motel* again.
Nice hotel close (but not walking distance) to central Sedona. A great, more economical, choice for your Sedona adventures. Comfortable beds, nice tv, hot shower. Free parking, and a basic breakfast included.
