The room and bathroom was not clean. The sink and toilet were not working properly. Very noisy rooms in general and the air conditioning was too loud. The price is far to high and doesn’t give value for the money.

We had a wonderful time here. Gorgeous grounds- nice plants and decor. The koi pond was neat. We enjoyed the 2 person swinging chairs high up on the deck with colorful singing birds all around in the trees. We walked down to the creek and enjoyed the beautiful water sights and sounds. Our room (#23) was surprisingly big with two queen beds. The refrigerator and microwave came in handy. We loved the bathroom with the barn door and dark tiles. It does have a few steps up into it. The shower was nice and hot. We didn't spend much time right outside of the room, but there were nice tables/chairs and a grill that other guests were enjoying. Our bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Not crazy fancy but everything we needed. We will be coming back with our kiddos next time. Nice to be away from the super busy uptown area of Sedona. I'd HIGHLY recommend eating at the Indian Gardens restaurant nearby- amazing breakfasts (we went both mornings) where you can sit on a beautiful patio with trees and plants all around.

We booked same day, in person at 11am. We booked a small hotel room as we were not permitted to view the more expensive room (this seems to be a trend in other reviews) We were told to return for check-in at 3pm. We returned at 3 only to be told housekeeping was “running late” and it would be about30 mins. (this also seems to be a trend after reading other reviews.) We sat in our car and sat an additional HOUR waiting for our room. They didn’t start cleaning room til 330. We were parked outside of the room and able to see. Our room looked NOTHING like the rooms online. It was TINY and had a GIANT old bathtub in the corner that had multiple cracks in it. Small particles of who knows what sticking to our feet walking across the floor, it felt as thought the bed frame was cracked with a badly sagging mattress. The bathroom is tiny if you’re tall your knees may hit the sink/vanity. The TRUE MOTIVATION for this review is the thick, brown, dried, crusty substance that was smeared down the wall adjacent to the toilet. Look, I didn’t touch it, or smell it. I’ll allow you to make your own conclusion. How was the room “cleaned” but this remained? Who knows. We didn’t even shower there. We slept, brushed our teeth and got the hell out. If you drive by, definitely park and check out the Koi pond. Then, pay the little extra and stay somewhere else.

I want to start off by saying that this was one of the more romantic places my husband and I have ever stayed for our anniversary getaway. The bedroom area had a hot tub in it that was spacious and had a great view of the TV or the fireplace, whichever we preferred. There was a private front patio and a private back patio that had a grill and a perfect view of the creek running behind the trees. You could hear the creek well too which was peaceful. The kitchen was full equipped with a small two burner stove, microwave, pots and pans, silverware, cooking utensils, coffee maker, full size freezer and fridge. There were a few things that I was not happy about though. On out confirmation email we were told we could check in at 3:00pm. When we arrived at 3:00pm we were told that our room was not ready and that it would not be ready for at least an hour because their cleaning staff was running behind. We are very reasonable and understanding about staff shortages, it happens. But we were very frustrated that we were never called and given that information earlier on, which I told them. They stated that they only told people to call ahead of time to confirm the time. Why would I call ahead of time if I was told 3:00pm? When we finally got into our room there was no toilet paper, no soap for washing our hands, there was a dirty towel in the bathroom shower, and a pan we went to use was greasy. I don't know if they outsource their cleaning staff but I was definitely left worrying what other stuff were not properly cleaned. After that initial upset the rest of our trip was great. The facility is beautiful. There were plenty of outdoor areas you could relax near the creek, in a grassy area with a gazebo, and near an amazing koi pond! I will definitely return as I do not feel our one bad occurrence is a typical issue.

Very affordably priced, and our room was nice and clean. Easy to access downtown Sedona by car (not walking distance). We chose Room 19 which was quite comfortable and had some nice touches that we didn't expect - microwave, dishes, small dining table with chairs. It is an older establishment and we were told by others during our stay that the quality of the accommodations varied quite a bit from room to room (and by price). The grounds abut the creek and the creek is both peaceful and beautiful, though there are a good many stairs to get down to it. People with mobility issues might find the grounds a bit challenging in terms not only of the varying elevations but also the graveled rather than paved parking areas. Inside our room, there was a step down between the sleeping and bathroom areas which was difficult to see so could cause problems if one got up during the night and didn't remember the step was there. Also, there was no dresser, chest of drawers, nor shelving for storing clothes, so we lived out of our suitcases (there was a small closet with very few hangers). I agree with some previous reviews in saying that I personally would not call this a resort, though if one is interested in a 2-person jacuzzi tub with fireplace and TV in their room, it's a real find for the price point.

Oak Creek Terrace Resort Calling this place a resort is a bit ridiculous. Maybe it was in 1959. We stayed in one of the king bed rooms (not one of the cabins, so maybe they’re better). Price is reasonable, but I suppose that you get what you pay for. The room itself was okay size-wise, but the bathroom was sized for munchkins. Toilet is quite small and LOW and was located in a corner near the sink and required a bit of care to use. Small shower stall leaked water all over the floor. It’s a glass enclosure and the side opposite the unmovable shower head desperately needs to be resealed and its door fixed (very hard to open and close). The sink’s faucet is hooked up backward. Up and left is cold instead of hot. Speaking of hot, don’t be in a hurry for hot water. You pretty much need to turn on the water in either the shower or sink and go away for around 3 minutes before it gets hot - unless your neighbor has recently used theirs. The regular rooms like ours (Number 3) are located near the highway and the traffic noise can be a bother. It’s sometimes louder than the air conditioner which sounds sort of like a 737 taking off. The temperature setting on our A/C unit wasn’t anywhere near accurate. Had to set it much lower than should have been necessary. At least it cooled, so there is that. Bed was reasonably comfortable. I would not stay here again. The place is in dire need of updating. The photos on the website are more than a little flattering. Whoever took them certainly knows how to emphasize the positive points. The grounds are sort of nice, but all we wanted was a comfortable place to stay while we visited Sedona. I asked if we could see one of the vacant cabins with the intention to upgrade if they were nicer, but was told that he could not show rooms. We would have paid more if the cabins were nicer. It seems very strange to me that they would pass up an opportunity to make more money unless the rooms do not show well. IMHO, this is a place to avoid unless your expectations are quite low.

THIS IS NOT A "RESORT" . . . If this is your price point, just get a tent and go camping! I booked a stay here a few weeks ago for a mommy daughter getaway to celebrate my daughters sweet 16 Birthday. We specifically chose Room 23 after reviewing all the amenities (jacuzzi tub) specifically and pets were allowed as well. Trouble started immediately at check in when we were advised we were “upgraded to Cabin 17. Private, more spacious right of the creek and even has an extra bed! No jacuzzi tub and no other rooms available with one for our stay. Room 17 it is, oh but wait… It’s not even ready yet. 30 minutes later we are in our “upgraded” private more spacious cabin off the creek! Long story short we might as well have brought a tent and camped instead. Room was dusty and spider webs everywhere, patio, ceilings, walls outdoor furniture. Nothing was kept up on the property. And the Jacuzzi tub we hoped to relax in was replaced with the tiniest shower I have seen in my life. Trash left in the bathroom and worse of all 1 bed had what appeared to be dried blood stains and the other some yellow staining. Thankfully I have a thing for using hotel bedding and had packed my own just in case. If we hadn’t had booked the activities we did in Sedona we would have been out of there the first day. We instead toughed it out and outside of this dump had a great time in Sedona.

This hotel was very cozy. We stayed in rooms 21 and 23. Room 21 was perfect for a couple. Small, with Jacuzzi. Microwave and fridge. Nice basic small room with enclosed patio with electric fireplace and TV. Room 23 was much larger with 2 bedrooms. Odd layout. It, too, had a jacuzzi but with an indoor electric fireplace. Nice space for couple with small kids. HOWEVER-BEWARE: In the building for rooms 21, 22 and 23, there is a loud electrical pump that bangs quite loudly in the rooms every 5 minutes all day and all night. Okay for one or two nights with earplugs, but would not want these rooms for longer than that, due to the noise while trying to sleep.. it is constant.. not so bad in the day,, but not so much at night.. Especially if you are a light sleeper. Other than that, this was a really great place. The staff was lovely. Good price for the area. I would stay again but just not in that building.

Thank you so much for the perfect stay in your resort. We enjoyed it so much even though we could only stay in Sedona one night. I felt more content and at peace at Oak Creek Terrace Resort then I did at any other place during our week long trip. The jacuzzi and the fireplace were a bonus in the room! I loved the beautiful landscaping and was able to find some time for my own solace by the creek! I wish I were there now! Everything was perfect but too short. I will be contacting you the next time I am in Sedona!
