Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good and location close to good restaurants and grocery shopping and movie theater, but just minutes from downtown Sedona .We would stay here again. We were celebrating 60 years together and found a bottle of wine in our room courtesy of hotel.
When we arrived, one of our rooms had inadvertently not been cleaned. The staff quickly reassigned our rooms so we’d still be next to each other. The location is before the busy part of town, easy to find, right off 89A. Very good restaurants within 1/2 mile for dinner and breakfast.
Saki at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay memorable! If I was able to leave a review higher than 5 stars, it would be well above 100 stars! Amazing service and even better staff. We are truly looking forward to booking our next stay here in Sedona.
Check in was painful. They are trying to use automated check in but it kept failing and eventually had to use the actual person that was standing at the front desk watching. The ‘complimentary breakfast’ was not accessible as there are few tables and all were taken (we waited and eventually left). Noisy pipes every time anyone in the next room used a tap. The pool was unavailable (under construction) paid a ‘$10 Hotel service fee’ which I think was a money grab.
At this motel we stayed two nights on our road trip. We reserved the 2nd floor because it appeared that they had private balconies and they do advertise that they have balconies. But our "balcony" was not private. The outside photos give that impression because of the arched edging at the top of the second floor and the way the photos were taken. In actuality it was an outside hallway, but there were a few chairs there for some rooms. I wouldn't see a need to stay on the second floor again, as there wasn't even a better view from the second floor. Having said that, it was a great room. It appeared to be brand new, or it has been rehabbed. It had a coffee station, refrigerator, microwave, and separate sink outside the bathroom. The air conditioner was next to the sink in our room, so it was chilly standing at the sink. Brrrr. The separate bathroom with toilet had a shower only which was very nice. So no tub if that's what you're looking for, at least in certain rooms. Plug-ins and chargers on the nightstand, good lighting, clean and comfortable bedding, and nice window shades. It was very modern in all ways. There wasn't a table in our room, but there was a desk with a comfortable chair, but only one person can sit there since there weren't any other chairs. Wifi worked just fine. There is a pool in the center of the complex, and all of the landscaping on the property is very pretty. It's in west Sedona so a little ways out of Old Town but we already knew that and chose it because it wasn't as expensive as some other places, because Sedona isn't cheap. But it was never a bother to drive a few extra minutes to Old Town. Sedona isn't all that big In the evenings, we had contact with two different desk staff during our stay. I can't say they were particularly friendly. Felt like we were a bother when we checked in. On another occasion when I asked a question about a good nearby restaurant it felt like I was bothering them. There are random brochures by the front desk. By the way, the nearby Rascals restaurant on our first night was excellent! …
We were looking for a clean, economical place to stay in Sedona near mountain bike trailheads. Green Tree Inn delivered! Good location in relation to restaurants and stores with a view of Thunder Mountain. We enjoyed the hot tub after a day on the trails and were comfortable in our room for the night. It was great to have a complimentary breakfast however the food options could have been less processed. Also the plastic waste was concerning. Real cutlery and china go a long way. Its not that difficult to put things in a dishwasher. Overall it was a nice experience.
Good, no frills hotel for a less expensive price than many in Sedona. Clean and was updated. The fairly centrally located in West Sedona right on the Main Street. Staff was friendly, the breakfast was adequate. This is a basic no frills place. Not luxurious but I would definitely stay here again.
The staff was very friendly and helped with suggestions on what we might do since our one day in town was rainy. Room was clean and all we needed. The location was easy to find. There was breakfast available and lobby open 24 hours.
We got to our “upgraded” room and it looked cheap, industrial, dirty and worn out. The curtains had tattered edges, were torn and hung at an angle. The floor was dirty, there were 2 sinks with no lights above them to see to shave or for my wife to put on her makeup. The bathroom had 2 light switches; the first one did nothing and the second one turned on both the light and the bathroom fan. The bathroom fan sounded like a jet plane taking off (bad bearings). We went to bed, then the people above us started walking back and forth across the floor (our ceiling) and it sounded like a herd of elephants. To make it worst the people in the room next to us had a dog that wouldn’t stop barking. I had to get up, get dressed and go knock on their door and politely ask if they could please keep their dog quiet. They responded, “We’ll see what we can do” After a horrible night trying to fall asleep and repeatedly getting woken up, we got up and went to have breakfast. The breakfast area was totally packed with people shoulder to shoulder all the way back to the front door of the lobby. We waited in line and finally got some coffee (horrible) and cold microwave omelets. The eating area still had no seating available, plus it was poorly organized and very messy, so we went to our room to eat. This is a dumpy hotel with paper thin walls, on the level of an overpriced Motel 6. They charge a resort fee ($250.00 per night) and they are definitely not a resort. We won't ever stay there again.…
Great Hotel in West Sedona away from the maddening crowds yet right near everything. Hotel has nice amenities, a peaceful feel and pleasant grounds and landscaping. I really enjoyed my stay there and would stay at the GreenTree Inn next time I am in Sedona.
