We had been looking for a getaway for our 7 year anniversary and although this was a bit out of our budget we went for it anyway. When we arrived, we did get there at 2:30 (although we were told our room wouldn’t be ready until 4) and they gave us water and we waiting in the car, though our room didn’t actually become available until almost 5:30, this wasn’t a huge deal since we are dealing with uncertain times right now so we assumed they were taking extra steps to make sure our room was extra clean. Once our room was ready we followed a cart to the best parking we could get which was super close to our room and then the cart took our luggage the rest of the way. We had paid for a casita studio which has a pull down queen bed and a kitchenette plus the grill on the patio. I have to admit the pictures online didn’t give me a great idea of what to expect out of the room or what was included but I did remember the woman who took my reservation telling me to bring food since we are about 20min from any stores. The room was super nice, you walk in through a little dinning area where the kitchenette (stove top, 6 pcs of bowls, cups & silverware. Sink, coffee maker. Small cutting board. Utensils for the grill, Larger utensils like soup spoon and spatula) is and then you walk into the main room which is where the pull down bed, seating area, fireplace and entrance to the deck is. Off to the other side is the bathroom which had a separate room for the toilet, two armoire to hand clothes as needed (with iron, iron board, suitcase rack and safe) jack and Jill sinks(with skylights) and a stand up shower which is absolutely gorgeous. Me being super picky because this was a very expensive and a five star hotel I did find some things I didn’t think was worth the price point (such as hair left in the sink, and dust along the bottom of where the sinks sit, stained robes and towels and marks into he carpet as well) ... but walking outside and seeing the view made up for all of it. Now keep in mind you are in the middle of no where and there are going to be bugs. In our Three nights we stayed I killed one spider in bed with us but also four others, there isn’t much I can see a resort doing to really eliminate this. There were also ants all over our deck but they didn’t seem to bother too much and would go away as dawn set in. There was Beautiful wildlife like deer and crows that we would watch throughout the day.

My husband and I spent 4 days in a King guestroom last week. The views are out of the world, I'm not sure you could find a prettier resort in Sedona. The staff is friendly, they'll zip you around on the golf carts if you ask, and the restaurants on site were some of our best meals. The wait staff is excellent and they know the menus well and answer all questions you have. With that said...

The pools are terrible. The first day we went to the main pool and we lasted about 15 minutes before the ants chased us out. They swarmed, climbing up the chair legs and biting us. I was finding them in our bag once we got back to the room and there was no food in there.

The next two days we reserved times at the spa pool. The first day they had forgotten to write down our reservation so that was a bit annoying. It was mostly empty but somehow the attendant found two chairs for us. We settle in, get some water, and wonder why no one is in the pool on a 100 degree day. Because it's full of dead, floating bugs. At least 50 floaters of all sizes. Bees, hornets, winged ants, beetles. They stated the pool was heated but that is not true. It was an ice bath, and a few other patrons spoke to the attendant about it as well. I cannot believe that for $35 per person for 4 hours that they would let the pool stay filthy. That was very disappointing being that we like to relax and swim on vacation. I've seen cleaner pools at the Motel 6.

I get that this is in the desert and there will be bugs, but clean it up. Have someone come out once an hour and skim the dead bugs out, everyone would appreciate it.

We also had to have someone come spray our room as a line of ants were coming in right under our door and getting in food we had brought. Here's a hint- leave no food out whatsoever.

We loved hiking right off the grounds and the stars at night were incredible but unfortunately we won't return.

We were originally booked for 4 night (4th night free promo) but extended another 4 nights because we enjoyed the stay so much. We will definitely continue to return.

Check in was easy and the check in tour of the resort helped us get aquainted with all the available facilities.

Room was clean and spacious with all the right amenities (make up wipes, loofah, spa soap/shampoo, cotton pads) in the bathroom. Recommend you request for a canyon facing balcony room to fully enjoy your room. Wifi in the room is almost non existent so just be warned. If you’re here to fully recharge great but if you’re here to work on weekdays (covid roadtripper) you won’t be able to do it from the room.

Laundry machines are available for
Free.

Pool, tennis courts, etc are all free with sanitization protocols in please and actively followed.

I used the wifi in the main building for work during the weekkdays. Wifi was decent but spotty. No cell reception on the property.

Staff is accommodating and always trying to anticipate your needs. For example, i was provided coffee to my liking every morning when id walk in to do my work. Pool can get crazy and is understaffed at certain parts of the day so it requires some patience to get water or an order in.

Food was the most disappointing part of our stay and we drove out most dinners in search of something better. We tried all the establishments except the spa. I liked the short rib empanada and the ceviche and the guac. However a little overpriced for the size portions on the guac you’re basically ordering chips. Che achi we ate at once and decided it wasnt worth it. Food in che achi was as if it were striving for a michelin star but the dishes hadnt mastered the basics of cooking and hadn’t put an importance on flavor over plating. It was disappointing since we generally like eating meals in the hotel.

I did not know there was a resort in the middle of the red rocks in Sedona. The name is so fitting for the resort and the staff made the experience so much better. We had complimentary orange juice delivered to the room daily and housekeeping was so accommodating in bringing us what we needed. The amenities (cricket, tennis, and bikes) are included in the resort fee and you cannot stop admiring the views all around the resort. I think it is important to also note that the resort abides by covid regulations which is much appreciated.

We stayed in the Casita One Bedroom Suite which sleeps up to 6 people. There are two queen beds, a murphy bed in the living room, a fireplace, kitchen and dining for 4 people, a patio with a grill, and two restrooms. The room was amazing, but if you plan on cooking...it may not be very easy. The pots, pans, and kitchen utensils are very very low quality. The kitchen is also very small. I would say there is only room for two people to cook. No counter space and the fridge is a mini fridge. We brought our own oil and seasoning.

We brought our little pup, because the resort is pet friendly. I don’t remember seeing dog bags/waste areas, but I’m sure there are.

Overall we had an incredible time at the resort and will definitely return in the future!

Not a 5 star experience. Trying to get anyone on the phone is impossible, no one answers the phone. Trying to book a spa appointment is impossible, again no one answers the phone. Had issues with checking in, waited 4.5 hours even though upon checkin we were told our room was vacant and just needed to be cleaned and that we would receive an email when the room is ready. I received a email that our room was ready after we had checked out. We ran into more issues with our room and although the issue was fixed after more waiting around, it just left a bad taste in our mouth. I will say the best part of the resort is the location nestled between the rocks and near by trails. As for the spa it was hard to get in touch with anyone to book an appointment. Had to call several times and email. Overall, I would probably not recommend this resort as it was much more of a headache than relaxing.

My wife and I returned to the Enchantment for Valentine's weekend after not visiting it for many years. Unfortunately, the place is showing its age and is seemingly unable to deliver basic services. The rooms are in need of renovation. Our room and bathroom was dated, had a very loud heating systems, non functioning screen doors and old furniture. The most irritating issue that we confronted during our stay was the hotel's failure to provide basic room cleaning. On Valentines Day, our room never was cleaned. We called the front desk twice during the day to request cleaning and were assured that the room would be cleaned by 8 pm. They later told us that it was a busy day for housekeeping. Are you serious? At $880 a night, the Enchantment Resort does not have enough staff to clean the rooms? The next day, we got a call from the hotel management saying that they were sorry from failing to provide "turn down service" and promising a special gift. Oh brother - get it the problem right please! We thought it was mildly humorous when they also failed to deliver the "promised gift." We would have been satisfied with a clean room. Oh well. On the positive side, the location and spa are beautiful, the food at the restaurants were excellent, and the staff people were very nice but clearly overwhelmed. At this price we expected more. We will probably go to L'Auberge the next time,

We recently returned from a stay at the Enchantment Resort, where we celebrated my son's high school graduation. We almost cancelled the trip because of the pandemic, but are glad we did not.

This is a very special resort in one of the most stunning parts of Sedona. The resort is well kept and beautiful, the restaurants are delicious, and everyone went out of their way to make sure we had a nice time. Special shout-outs to Isa at the concierge desk who went out of her way to make sure we found restaurants that complied with masks and social distancing as well as activities that would be fun for our entire family, and to Greg who took our suitcases to our room and was always so cheerful and helpful. Thanks also to the reservations department; they were patient when I had to change the dates of our stay, and also made sure that there were special touches for my son's graduation celebration.

I also want to commend everyone at the resort and its restaurants for all the steps they took for protection during the pandemic. Everyone working on property wore masks and gloves, and there were many steps taken to sanitize public areas and create social distancing. I wish I could say this was true everywhere in Sedona, but it was not.

We loved the Enchantment Resort, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and hope to return many times. My only criticism about the resort is that cell service and WiFii are spotty. At one point my husband had to go into town to make a business call. However, I don't think this is Enchantment's fault -- I think it's a result of their location in a canyon. Also, I was glad at times that the internet and WiFii were weak as it forced us to focus on family time and the beautiful natural surroundings of the resort, rather than all the negative news in the current world.

We came here for our 35th anniversary. Due to the special occasion, we wanted a special place. Boy did we pick right.
We couldn’t afford more than the cheapest option, but it didn’t matter. Our king room was #226 and was in a great quiet location with our private balcony facing the red rock. The bed was very comfortable, the large soaking tub sublime, & the large shower refreshing. Our room was large enough for us. There’s a desk & chairs plus a large oversized chair & ottoman.
I need to mention, there’s a door connecting our room to the neighboring unit. We could hear conversations. This didn’t bother us, but I just hope we weren’t a bother to them.
The location of this resort is spectacular. It’s actually IN Boynton Canyon with its own hiking trails. It’s about 5 miles outside of the busy town of Sedona. There’s a spa (I guess best in the US) on the property, some of the morning spa options are free to people staying at the resort. There’s private guided hikes, mountain biking, tennis, a pool, plus croquet & bocci ball courses on the property. They have 2 restaurants, one reasonably priced; the other out of our price range (reservations required). Both have a great view of the canyon. They also offer in room dining and free orange juice daily.
The resort will meet your every need. You can choose to walk everywhere which is what we did. Or, you can just call to get a ride on one of the golf carts.
We definitely would stay here again. We also thank Palliva (I’m sure I’m butchering her name, but she checked us in) for the great room location & complimentary bubbly in our room for our anniversary. You all made it very special. What a dream trip.

What you pay for here is location, location, location. It is located on 70 acres in the Boynton Canyon (much to the chagrin of Boynton Canyon hikers-read those reviews) and is a beautiful property. The casitas are well spaced out and, therefore, it is very quiet in the room. The property, and particularly the outdoor pool is so close to the red rocks that you feel like you could touch them.
What it is not is a traditional luxury hotel focused upon service. If you have stayed in comparably priced hotels in other resort locations and have come to expect having drinks or food served poolside or employees present to place or move umbrellas or if you expect to be greeted by name or even recognized as a guest, this is not the place for you. We found that if you hike to the Clubhouse (or call and wait for a golf cart driver) you will find adequate and friendly service. However, the service will not find or come to you. We found that the staff was patient and tolerant of being asked to return to the casita when they forget things, but it seems to be necessary to call several times. If you can be patient and can slow down (which is consistent throughout Sedona- laid back, but no one is in a hurry), you will find this to be a friendly, laid back and relaxing hotel. It feels more residential than like a hotel which is very nice if you know what to expect. So my advice is to be patient, be willing to get things for yourself, relax and enjoy the beautiful location.

This was our first time at Enchantment. The canyon is stunning and the views are spectacular. It’s quiet and peaceful.

There are some disappointing service issues that should be noted. Some of the front desk staff are rude and unhelpful. Several times we waiting for 4 hours to get a bucket of ice delivered to the room. It took 5 phone calls over 36 hours to have our trays of food picked up after we finished eating and place them outside. Guest services are generally unreliable but some of the staff are quite friendly, thankfully. The main restaurant refused to to room service or even take out because their food ‘doesn’t travel well’. My friends were trying to meditate in the crystal room at the spa and an employee asked them to leave so that other guests could use it instead. The rooms are spacious but could use some updating and repairs. The WiFi is intermittent but we are told they are making improvements to the systems soon. We probably will not return unless management makes some tangible improvements in customer service.

The main big pool is still being rebuilt. There are two smaller out door pools that families can use. They would not be a noise problem. The Mi Amo pool (and spa) is for adults only.
