This was a wonderful place to stay to check out Sedona and hike. This area has shopping and plenty of places to eat and drink within a short walk. Uptown Sedona is a 1/4 mile walk that was fun. We stayed in a studio that was roomy and had a fridge with freezer, microwave and coffee maker. Nice bathroom. There’s a heated pool, big hot tub and tennis- we didn’t use any but looked great. Will stay here longer next time!
Los Abrigados has a great central location when visiting Sedona. You can walk to Tlaquepaque or Uptown Sedona. They also have a good gym with fun exercise classes. The pool is heated to 86 degrees and they have a giant, hot jacuzzi which feels good after hiking or biking. They have pickle ball, tennis, basketball and miniature golf, which my family really enjoyed. The rooms need a little updating but you can't beat the location of this resort. I love staying here.
This is our second time staying here at Los Abrigados. It's such a pleasant stay! The rooms are so spacious, always super clean, and just the perfect spot in town. We love how affordable this option is too, because its better than some of the more expensive options out there as well! Staff is always welcoming and friendly. Will continue to stay here as we visit Sedona.
The location and grounds are very nice. The one bedroom we had was satisfactory but had some downsides., A few nice touches were the large number of electrical outlets, the magnifying mirror in the bathroom and the numerous kitchen gadgets. The kitchen itself though was tiny and inconvenient. Opening the dishwasher blocked access to the dish cupboard, the refrigerator doors opened away from the work area, etc. The room and furnishings were fine for a couple . The staff was helpful and friendly. We did have to repeatedly decline attending a sales pitch.
Nice place and great room and cleanliness. Beautiful location and close to town and biking/hiking trails. Did not try any of the food or use the pool, spa, or fitness center. Was disappointed when maintenance refused to allow me to use a hose to wash mud off my mountain bike. They missed an opportunity to provide exemplary service. I've no doubt they had a hose somewhere on that enormous resort. But whatever. Still a nice place, though it stopped me from giving a 5 rating. And the slippery, shady time share sneak-a-pitch while you think the smiling friendly face offering you coupons and asking what you'd like help with while staying in town was also off-putting. Don't hide you motive and deceive me right when i get there as it leaves a very poor first impression. That said, the hotel was great. I'll go back. But i'll simply ignore the time share folks as I check in. And i'll visit Thunder Mountain Bikes again as they let me wash off my bike with their hose and were super friendly and full of great advice about where to ride after rain and snow. …
The only reason I'm giving the Rooms a 3 is because of the kitchen appliances. they need some attention. Otherwise, Comfortable bed, great location, Great Spa / Pool / Hot Tub. Awesome sitting in the pool and the hot tub while it snowed and rained. Will come back for sure.
We spent two night here - got off to a rough start but we really liked it overall. The property is quite lovely and there are quite a few shops and restaurants (Secret Garden, Rene) which are a very short walk to so the location is nice. We arrived an hour before check in on a very rainy day and the desk told us the room wasn’t ready and that they would call us. No problem - we went to the Spoke and Wheel restaurant on the property for some drinks and waited for the call. At 5:30 we still hadn’t gotten the call so we went over to the front desk and he “forgot”. We then went to our room on the first floor in one of the villas. The rain had soaked the carpets at both doors so we let the front desk know. It took them quite some time to move us but they did upgrade us to a suite that was pretty cool. Comfortable bed, nice big bathroom, and fully loaded kitchen area. Laundry was FREE. I was able to wash all of my dirty clothes without spending an extra dime at their little laundromat. Pretty nice fitness center as well. Despite the rough start, I’d stay here again. The advice to ignore the concierge desk is spot on. They are trying to sell you timeshares. We just pretended like they didn’t exist.…
We liked the location very centrally located, great restaurants close by, the room is a bit dated and the bed defiantly needs updated. Was quiet and relaxing. The parking is a bit of a challenge also. But over all we enjoyed our stay.
stayed in an one bed room suite with kids good things 1. very big and spacious. 2. firm and most comfortable sofa bed I have ever been on the sofa bed is really mattress not with spring or some cushions. 3. close to uptown. 4. well equipped kitchen bad things. 1. very outdated and dirty looking, I had the same tile floor 20+ yeas ago. The grouts are almost black with dirt. Some molds are showing in the shower, outlet..etc..I had to debate if I should touch or lie down anywhere. When I opened a cabinet under the sink, I found out what gross means 2. very outdated kitchen. 3. no view. 4. despite being a resort, there is nothing really to do inside unless you use their spa/classes. 5. practically no internet. It's spotty and very slow. it may be depending on room location as it's a big resort. I gave up using their internet. I had to wonder why their room rate is quite cheap being a resort and it's probably because you get what you pay for. I heard they are merged with Hilton and they might improve. I did have a good sleep but I probably will not go back to this property …
Great stay here again. Facilities are great, property is beautiful. After renovation this will be perfect. The employees are all friendly and communication with housekeeping was good and prompt. Returning in March.
