I spent an amazing week at Finca da Vida in a deep vitality retreat with Secret Fine. The staff was so nurturing, the food revitalizing, and the site regenerating. Can't think of a better place to sink into Pura Vida! Attached is the view from...More
I am a raw vegan, and I found traveling and staying at the hotels is not easy. I found the Farm of Life to be a perfect place with organic fruit, there are the best mangos on the planet, and vegetables. Meals were delicious, creative with...More
Exceeded ALL expectations!!!! Somehow, Jodi and Brian, owners of this wonderful little paradise managed to host a week, in conjunction with "Secret", their gyrotonics and yoga master-level teacher who also teaches biodynamic craniowork (honestly, it doesn't get more advanced from a body work perspective!!!)
This review is way overdue. I spent the 2015 xmas break in this farm. Met the most amazing hosts, staffs and guests. There is nothing more I can say that no other reviewers haven't said before already!

We most certainly offer a different perspective and approach than most organized health retreats. Our goal is for our guests to leave here empowered, capable of continuing, not just a diet, but a lifestyle, when they return home, to whatever degree of their choosing. That means, guests have to be hands-on in the kitchen and self-prepare their meals, they have to develop a healthy relationship with food, with nature, with themselves. It all happens here.
Some guests do use Farm of Life as a vacation spot, and we are the perfect vacation destination for the Healthy Lifestyle, for raw-vegan-vegetarians and for anyone seeking a spiritual/ meditative getaway.
We keep our prices as affordable as we can. Yes, we have slightly raised our prices since 2010 so that we can stay alive here in the jungle. Room rates are tiered such that we still offer the economical price of $70 per night plus sales tax, and we give 10% and 20% discounts for long term visits. You can spend 30-nights here for $1790, including sales tax, and this includes all the fruits and vegetables of your choosing. Good luck finding anything anywhere else in the world that is this affordable.
