Already after we ( my 2 brothers and me) had booked a 3 bed room in Mohagine, Ana the Hotel manager was very helpful. She offered to book the speedboots to Sierpe, to book a Corcovado or diving tour she would most recommend and at arrival told us how to get the most out of Drake. The rooms were all you need. Just do not forget to use the mosquito nets (they are installed at every bed for a reason^^). Theres a public bathroom and kitchen both very tidy and the kitchen area also includes a chillout area from where you might already see some local wildlife browsing the surroundings. So overall definitely a place to recommend also regarding the price.

Good atmosphere, nice garden, hammocks, howler monkeys for neighbours, walking distance to shops and beach. Very relaxed stay. And last but not least: Ana helped out great with reservations for taxi boat, snorkelling and horseback riding. All arranged upfront and she reacts promptly! Our stay at Drake Bay was one of our highlights in Costa Rica.

I stayed at Mohagine for three weeks and felt right at home there. It has a gorgeous garden that's right next to a wild jungle area and therefore there's lots of fascinating animals that come to visit from time to time, such as various lizards, agutis and even occasionally a tamandua. In the huge trees you can sometimes see monkeys and beautiful birds as well. The accomodations are simple, but cozy. The lounge with its hammocks and big tables is a great place to chill or chat with other guests. There's not always English speaking staff there but the manager is available via phone and will come and help, if she's needed. I had a great time there and will miss it.

Ana and Reina were really available and good in communication host. We had a nice private tent spot with one amaca. The shared area is well furnished and hot water for shower is available. The Wi-Fi at the tent was low quality but good signal in the shared area. Very nice the sounds of animals in the night. Reccomended!!!

My wife and I spent 6 days at Mohagine and loved it. The hostel is designed beautifully - you feel like you’re staying in the middle of a jungle. The open air kitchen and living area is fantastic. Toilets, showers and kitchen worked really well. We met some fantastic people staying there - it definitely attracts the right kind of travellers. Ana, the manager, and Reina, the housekeeper, were extremely helpful with booking stuff for us, doing laundry, giving fresh towels, etc. We would definitely recommend a stay there.

A perfect place to stay. The hotel is really eco friendly and the boss en staff are really nice to talk to. You can cook by yourself and there is a really clean bathroom. There is a laundry service here and it is really good to! Thank you for the good time!

Excellent is the one word to describe my stay at Mohagine Hotel. Upon arrival in Drake Bay, the owner was already waiting for us for a warm welcome. The hotel is beautifully situated on the border of the jungle, has a spacious and very clean common areas and comfortable rooms/cabins/tents. It immediately felt as a home in paradise. The owner went above and beyond to help with whatever. The only downside is that at some point you have to say goodbye ;)

It’s a Paradies in the middle of the jungle. I slept in a tent on a 0.5m elevated platform with a roof. It hat a private locker and even electricity. Olman the host organized tours for me and even took me to some spots on his ATV. I can highly recommend it!

WHAT AN AMAZING STAY! We really felt in paradise for a few days, sleeping in a very cute cabin, in the middle of a peaceful jungle full of beauty and wonder. Olman (the director) has been an amazing host and arranged us the best tours around Drake Bay. We really recommend Mohagine Hotel!
