They easily gave us another (better) room after our first night with leaking AC (noise + a lot of water on the floor). Clean and good size rooms. Their restaurant is not available to their guests at lunch time because it is reserved for diving group tours. That disappointed us a couple of times… not very convenient. They wouldn’t even sell us drinks more than an hour before the group arrived… Also we asked for information on tours and they didn’t have any pamphlet or written info, which would have been appreciated.

We so enjoyed our 4 nights at Hotel Margarita. It turned out to be the best place to recover when my husband came down with "tourista" (lousy stomach from our previous travels)--the hotel helped us connect with a local doctor at the health clinic across the street. Dixon, the chef, couldn't have been more concerned & attentive--spoke good English. He took good care of us, customizing mild food for my husband & ordering coconuts for making coconut water to rehydrate him. The food & drinks on the menu were delicious! Manuel in the restaurant was also very attentive & helpful & was easy to communicate with. The veranda outside our room was perfect for quiet lounging. Wifi was consistent & the pool was lovely...the birds & jungle sounds were beautiful. I/we could walk from the hotel to the beach for my/our outings to Corcovado & dolphin boat. Gracias, Hotel Margarita!…

So glad we chose this hotel for our stay in Drake Bay. The hotel was very helpful even before we arrived by booking our trip to Corcovado park and suggesting other trips we might like to do. The hotel is small, friendly and very efficiently run. The rooms are very clean & comfortable and provide everything you need for a pleasant stay. There is a coffee machine & water dispenser in the hall. When we arrived to check in they suggested we could upgrade our room to one with a balcony we were pleased we did as we saw so much wildlife from here . The restaurant serves delicious meals we ate here twice and twice in town where the food was also good. The pool is clean and very refreshing. Drake Bay was such a wonderful experience and we hope to come back and will be sure to stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay and looking after us so well.…

This hotel and its amenities are wonderful, however, you need to be aware that it is surrounded by completely irresponsible dog owners and you WILL NOT be able to sleep as the walls in this hotel are paper thin and there are at least a dozen dogs surrounding your hotel that bark ALL NIGHT LONG..

Hotel Margarita was the ideal location for our short getaway from here in Uvita, CR. The drive over the mountains was an adventure with many photo stops along the way. The hotel offered everything I wanted, clean room, in house restaurant and close to the beach. This was probably one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and the restaurant is 5 star! The restaurant owner and chef Dixon prepared the most delicious salmon I’ve ever had, the sea bass was exceptional, and the shrimp scampi was divine! We ate almost every meal here starting with breakfast and finishing with drinks and desert. Breakfast options were plentiful and freshly made with local flair and Dixon would make you almost anything you wanted. The staff was personable and engaging and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and for sure we will be back!…

Rooms were extremely comfortable and clean. Hot shower and a great bed. What more do you want after a day of diving or hiking? Lovely pool and relaxing area. All of the staff were more than accommodating. The restaurant is run by Dixon with the smooth efficiency of a person that cares. Every menu item is top notch.

Upon arrival the staff was lovely & our rooms were ready and extremely clean. I loved my room (room A) as it has it's own private entrance and lanai area to watch all the birds. I highly recommend bird watching in the morning and evening before sunset. So many macaws! We booked a tour to Corcovado National Park (sirena station) through the hotel, and every part of the tour was awesome. We had Gabriel as our tour guide and I HIGHLY recommend him. He was so knowledgeable and passionate about the area that it made the tour that much better. 10/10 because of him. Restaurant- I ended up getting sick before arriving in Drake Bay and the restaurant accommodated everything I needed and the chef went above and beyond. This place truly makes you feel at home while away from home. Sa'id was an awesome bartender/waiter and made our dining experience fabulous. Thanks for a great trip hotel margarita.…

We enjoyed the suite room which provided a comfortable and cozy experience for our family of four. There is ample outdoor porch space to relax in too. The staff was very helpful with assisting us in booking tours to Corcovado Natl Park, Cano Island for snorkeling and a visit to a local ranch for a hike through their primary forest and soak in their waterfall pool. We are all of our meals there - the menu is varied and everything was Delicious! Being able to walk the beach was appreciated and we saw monkeys and toucans on our way!

We just stayed one night but plan to return. The room was large, clean, comfortable and tastefully finished. The manager and staff went out of their way to be helpful and easily spoke English with us. The pool was small but refreshing, and Dixon’s breakfast was great

My partner and I stayed at Hotel Margarita for 3 nights and used it as a base to complete tours in the region. I would highly highly recommend staying at Hotel Margarita. We had to alter our nights since we had decided to do an overnight tour in the Corcovado park. Mauricio who runs the hotel was extremely accommodating and adjusted our nights for us. When our boat landed in Drake Bay, Mauricio even picked us up from the beach which was totally unexpected, and dropped us off at the end of our stay as well! The modern rooms and bathrooms were extremely clean and came with fresh towels and fully functioning A/C. The pool was clean and extremely nice to have on the hot days when you don't want to go to the beach. The best part about this hotel is the staff. They were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. We had to leave one morning for a tour at 5:45am and the hotel chef was up already and able to make us breakfast before we went out. This level of dedication and catering is something I rarely experience and I'm so glad we chose this place. The hotel has a great little restaurant and we ate there a few times. All in all, it was just an extremely easy, clean, and friendly experience and would definitely stay here again if I return to Drake Bay.…
