Our second visit to La Paloma was just as exciting as the first. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The grounds are lush with tropical flowers, birds, monkeys, frogs, and insects. Our rancho overlooked Drake Bay beyond the forest below. Randall is a topnotch guide who directs mangrove tours and hikes in Corcovado N.P. with passion and knowledge.

Wow, what a place to stay in Drake Bay. I couldn't say enough positive things about it. The staff led by Nicole and Jamaica were awesome. Pablo and Tim were great. They bent over backwards to learn all our names (we were a family of 5 adults) and we spent 3 nights there. Every member of the staff fulfilled our...

Two families joined together and traveled Costa Rica, first stop was the La Paloma Lodge. A wonderful setting can be clearly seen in the photos, what is impossible to show online is the true warmth and service nature of the staff, virtually everyone was genuinely nice, service with a smile goes a long way, but service with a genuine smile...

Thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation at La Paloma. The hospitality is so good that is feels relaxed and effortless. We stayed five nights which allowed for some down time and a true vacation. For the effort that it takes to get here (12-passenger commuter plane and a boat ride which is the primary mode of transport around La Paloma), staying...

Dear Valued Guest, We are happy to hear that you were able to forget about the weather and lose yourself in the beauty of the jungle! I absolutely loved my four nights at La Paloma! It was pretty quiet upon my arrival, as it was only just the very beginning of the dry season, so I mostly had the place to myself. Jamaica and the staff were warm, available, and absolutely committed to me having the best possible time I could have. Meals were prepared with...

Dear Katie, First off you will be happy to hear that Reginald is in fine health and still makes appearances near the balcony from time to time. It was a pleasure to have you at the lodge despite the "inclement weather" in which we appreciated your optimism and flexibility. In fact we have been without rain for months now as...
