My husband and I visited here last year, same time, Feb 16-21. Loved it! This year we brought another couple and they too loved it. So much to do, great people, excellent food, so much to see, next time we're staying longer and maybe not come back!

I will start by saying that this is our 3rd visit to Costa Rica, every time we visit we travel the country visiting many establishments along our journey. This trip we traveled with our family (2 teenagers, 25 yr old daughter, husband and self) visiting the country for 15 days exploring the pacific south coast. We had already visited 2...

My wife and I stayed at Jinetes de Osa January 18 and 19th, 2011. Please see all reviews that give Jinetes de Osa an excellent rating. The reviews were very accurate and I cannot really elaborate on them. The staff was excellent; the food was excellent; the rooms were very clean and well maintained. I feel it was an excellent...

We ended up down in Drake's Bay to avoid the tourist craze up in Monteverde and Arenal and stumbled on this gem of a hotel. It does have beautiful grounds, a great location, cold beers! But, the best part by far was the staff. Warm, friendly, personable. The kitchen staff were wonderful, fun, and creative with the food (even serving...

While my group of 6 guys only stayed two days, we had a fantastic time. Day one we arrived and ziplined the same day and closed down the outdoor bar after a fresh homecooked meal. Day two we took an hour boat ride to The La Sierna entrance to The Corcovado National Preserve. The six hour tour included Lunch, monkeys...

Jinetes and Drake Bay were absolutely amazing! I was looking for a stress free vacation and found exactly that. The staff was incredible, everything is arranged for you. Every evening Victor asks what you would like to do the next day, then arranges it all for you, all you have to do is be ready at the time he says...

just getting to Drake Bay was an experience in itself. You can only get there by boat or plane so we took the boat there and plane back to San Jose. The packed speed boat took around an hour to reach Drake Bay and gave you a real insight to just how far out this place is!!! Jinetes is a...

Note that if you are traveling to Drake Bay by boat, you will get wet. Wear water shoes or be prepared to take off your shoes as you are ‘docking’ (note that docking simply means backing the boat into the shore as the co-captain jumps out and steadies the boat as you get off. Also – we saw a crocodile...

I took nine students to study the peninsula and we stayed at the hotel for three weeks. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable. We took several of the trips, both diving and ones into the park and in all cases the guides were excellent. Diving, we saw white tipped reef sharks and spotted eagle rays and lots more. We...
