The location is about a 3 hour drive from Guatemala City to Panachel. Then, it's a relatively short boat ride to the Hotel. The hotel staff will meet you at the boat and carry your luggage to your room. Unless you are an extremely fit person, let them do this. There are at least 100 steps to your room. That...

We just stayed for lunch and it was amazing. Great vegetarian options if that's your thing. Everyone's food was amazing. Portions were a little small but not ridiculous. You do have to climb close to 100 steps but even those with us who had issues with knees felt it was worth it. The views were great, the water clean at...

We stayed here after a guide recommended it, and we're so glad we did. The views are unparalleled, the rooms spacious and comfortable, and the food superb. The gardens give great atmosphere and the staff were supremely helpful. It's away from the towns so you'll get plenty of peace and quiet. My only regret is not staying longer to try...

This hotel has everything you could wish for. Amazing individually crafted rooms. Lovely helpful staff. Food was to die for! We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the lake and volcanoes. It felt very private and relaxing. Lots of spots to chill pit in hammocks or on sun loungers. It is a bit more expensive than other places...

We stayed here overnight and I wished I stayed another night just to enjoy it! We had a room on the upper level with a great view. The room was comfortable, well stocked with a great patio. We joined the communal dinner which was really nice, well served and we were able to chat with other guests in the hotel....

This is the second time we have stayed, and it did not disappoint! The staff is incredibly attentive without being intrusive, the rooms are comfortable, there is ample room and opportunity for relaxing and it's SO private (we were always shocked to see other guests at dinner--it seemed like we had the grounds to ourselves!). Don't make the rookie mistake...

Let's just say the stay was one of the memories you won't ever forget. The hotel is located right on the lake, literally! The water (lake) comes up even to the lower steps of the hotel. The staff (for the most part) were nice. The food (all three meals and drinks) were fantastic. The tables were located on the balcony...

In Guatemala for a mission trip with the Porch de Salomon. On our acclimation day we went to La Casa del Mundo for breakfast and relaxation. The food was yummy. The views were awesome. The smoothies heavenly and the hammock magical. Some of our group went paddle boarding and had a great time.

This was my second visit to Antigua and La Casa del Mundo Hotel, Lake Atitlan, This hotel is my favorite place to visit. A short boat ride from "Pana" to total tranquility, the Hotel is charming, neat as a pin, nooks and crannies with flowers and shrubs in abundance, excellent service and everybody is very friendly. You order your dinner...
