This is an eco-hotel located by the lake Atitlán. You can get to it only by boat, on a trip that lasts from 10 to 15 minutes from Panajachel. The boat leaves you at hotel´s deck. Once on land, if you want to visit Santa Cruz town, it takes about 20 minutes to get there walking. It is a small...

We arrived at Laguna Lodge at night and we were kindly greeted by the staff. Our room was the PATO POC suite and it was certainly one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in. We really loved the hotel, the food and the fantastic view.

I hesitated before writing this critical report as I am sympathetic to the challenges facing those running a consumer business (I am the co-founder of a market leading retailer in the U.K.) and aware of the difficulties of running any business In Latin America (having lived in Brazil for 8 years). My wife and I have travelled extensively in Latin...

Thank you for your comments and we apologize for the inconvenience of the smoke from a brush fire up in the mountains. Unfortunately our eco-lodge was not the right choice for you but we are glad that you enjoyed Hotel Atitlan which appears to be more suited to your travel style. We hope that you enjoyed the rest of your...

i arrived to laguna lodge in the morning and felt immediately welcome from the moment i arrived on the jetty. I was welcomed by the local staff that are employed from a village near by. this is a true eco hotel that has minimal impact on the environment. the owners have created something special here, an oasis from the lake...

My time at The Laguna Lodge was nothing short of superb. The rooms were amazing, the proximity to Santa Cruz (25 min walk) and Pana was great (only 10 min boat ride from town), the views outstanding, and the food divine. I think I used up my entire vocabulary of positive adjectives while staying there. The rooms are impeccable and...

Our boat stopped to drop off supplies and broke down. We decided to have lunch and take another boat. The meal was great and we made the most of the delay. The facility is gorgeous although we did not stay or visit a room.
