The Laguna Lodge is on the lakeshore of the legendary Lake Atitlan and exclusively nestled in its own nature reserve. Entry into this Mayan world begins by boat. In a privileged setting our luxuriously natural 5 star boutique hotel commands sweeping views over azure waters to a trio of dramatic volcanoes. Inspired by nature and created from volcanic stone, adobe and palm our spacious lakeside suites are individually appointed with comfortable hand hewn king beds, fine linens, intricate woven textiles and indigenous antiques. In the evenings our award winning Zotz restaurant is bathed in golden hues from a large stone fireplace and antique candelabras, a romantic ambiance for a fine dining experience. After the days tours and adventures enjoy a dip in the hot river rock spa pool and be pampered with a relaxing body treatment offered at our Hummingbird spa. Relax at the lava bar or lakeside pavilion and watch the surreal sunset turn into a star studded night. The Mayan highlands are rich in culture and the lodge’s indigenous staff look forward to offering you a unique and memorable experience! - Utz Ipetik! Welcome! Come and explore, discover and experience with us and see why Time magazine says – Laguna Lodge is pure Maya magic!

We had booked 2 nights in Laguna Lodge originally due to the fact that we had to catch a flight, but once we arrived we thought to ourselves, we have to push our flight back one more day... because 2 nights wouldn't be enough! (3 wasn't either). The hotel is beautiful, the view is unbeatable and the staff were so great! I would even say this was the best hotel I've ever stayed in! You could easily spend the day relaxing in and around the resort, and decompress from the traveling. Everything was perfect, I would recommend 100%. Thank you Glenda, Cruz, Fransisco, Rosa and the rest of the team :)

Best trip I've ever taken! Spent a week at the lodge with my 26 year old son. We hiked, ate amazing food, visited cultural sites and attended the Sumpango Dia de Los Muertos Kite Festival. We opted to take advantage of the expertise of the staff and used their guides for several of these activities. We are so glad we did. The guides offered perspectives we would have missed on our own. The staff made us feel welcome and were amazingly tolerant of our very limited Spanish...Hola Lesly : )! To say that this is an absolutely beautiful place with lovely people would be an understatement. Thank you Laguna Lodge!! Jody and Trent

My boyfriend and I visited Laguna Lodge for the first time this summer and the stay did not disappoint! The views of the lake and the surrounding volcanoes are absolutely stunning. The service is incredible as well and there are many activities to do (we greatly enjoyed kayaking on the lake from the hotel). The resort is also on a nature reserve and has a private trail head entrance. Maps are available at the front desk. Breakfast is included with the stay however dinner is not. They also serve tea and cookies every evening and morning. Just to be aware, only vegetarian food is served. The resort is also a short boat ride away from the surrounding towns. You can rent either a private boat or take the public boat (which is 25 quetzales/person one way). It is very easy to flag down a boat, we just stood on the dock and waved and were easily able to obtain a ride. We also visited San Pedro for the day to hike up Volcan San Pedro (which we were easily able to book with a guide through the hotel) and the next day for a stroll around town. There are NO ATMS in town to take out money. However you are able to exchange cash at many of the activity shops in town right off the main dock. We had a wonderful stay and already look forward to visiting Lake Atitlan again!

Laguna Lodge is the most perfect getaway. The staff is so welcoming and accommodating, the rooms are absolutely gorgeous, and the food is to die for. If you are staying in the Lake Atitlan area the Laguna Lodge is a must. This is the best hotel we have ever stayed at - no exaggeration! They take great care in every detail of your stay and make it a vacation you can’t forget!

The property has the most stunning views ever! My room was gorgeous. authentic, and had amazing views. The food was very good and healthy and had Gluten free options which was helpful. Some of the outside could be updated but it kind of goes along with the shabby chic look. I would def stay here again. The views really are incredible.
