I honestly cannot think of one complaint I have about La Fortuna. The rooms and grounds were beautiful, the views stunning, and the staff incredibly personable and helpful. I truly felt like guest satisfaction was the utmost priority. I would very highly recommend staying here!

Owners Kat and Steve have created beautiful Balinese style bungalows and gardens. Guests dine together by candlelight in the main building and coffee and breakfast is delivered directly to your bungalow porch each morning. They provide kayaks for guests to use on the lake which...More

Hi Steve ~ I'm very interested in staying with you next winter. Your place looks gorgeous! My question has to do with swimming in the lake. I've read a lot about the bacterial pollution in Lake Atitlan and I'm wondering if it is still possible to take a healthy swim or is that ill-advised. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated! Gregg

The hotel owners Steve and Kat are young and progressive and very accommodating and accepting of all guests regardless of sexual orientation, that has been my experience there. Beautiful place to stay!
